Phytoremediation basically refers to the use of plants and associated soil microbes to reduce the concentrations or toxic effects of contaminants in the environment. My presentation includes every aspect to explain phytoremediation.

2. Pesticides in soil may be taken up by plant roots and moved
to other plant tissues, including the fruit.
• Pesticides can be classified by
target organism (e.g., herbicides, insecticides, fungicides,
rodenticides etc.)
• Insecticide families include organochlorines, organophosphates,
and carbamates.
• herbicides include phenoxy and benzoic acid herbicides (e.g. 2,4-D),
triazines (e.g., atrazine), ureas (e.g., diuron), and Chloroacetanilide
(e.g., alachlor).
