• Mainly undeveloped province in the North of Angola
• It is an Angolan enclave boarded by the Congo to the north and the
Democratic Republic of Congo to the south.
• Accounts for 60% of Angola Oil Production
• Population of approx. 690,000
• Abundant undeveloped natural resources

4. The Existing Port of Cabinda
• It has been operational since
2012
• Floating platform with a berth
length 110 m
• Maximum draft 6.5 m
• Impacted by weather conditions
• Plans to develop into cruise &
cabotage terminal

5. World-class port facility
 Over 30 years: plans to develop a deep drafted port in
Cabinda
 Allow the economy to develop and support the oil and
gas industry
 In 2012 a public-private partnership between the
Government of Angola & Caioporto SA was born
 Caioporto S.A. was awarded a 30 year concession to
finance, plan, design, build and manage the new deep
water Port of Caio, Cabinda.
 Fully aligned with the plans of the Government of
Angola to rebuild the national infrastructure

7. Enhancing Prosperity
• Redefining conventional notions of trade in Angola by
offering a best in class port with improved transportation
logistics
• Drastically reducing the logistical costs of operating in
Cabinda
• Allowing existing business to grow and new industry to
establish themselves
• Support Angola’s oil and gas sectors
• Provide employment for 600 persons directly and 1000s
indirectly.

8. • Port of Caio project will be implemented in phases
• It will be a multi purpose port, including supporting the oil and gas
industry
• The costs associated with the initial phase is approximately USD 600
million
• The port is designed to allow flexibility in the construction of future
phases to meet the customers needs.
