• It is an Angolan enclave boarded by the Congo to the north and the
Democratic Republic of Congo to the south.

• It has been operational since
2012
• Floating platform with a berth
length 110 m
• Maximum draft 6.5 m
• Impacted by weather conditions
• Plans to develop into cruise &
cabotage terminal

Over 30 years: plans to develop a deep drafted port in
Cabinda
Allow the economy to develop and support the oil and
gas industry
In 2012 a public-private partnership between the
Government of Angola & Caioporto SA was born
Caioporto S.A. was awarded a 30 year concession to
finance, plan, design, build and manage the new deep
water Port of Caio, Cabinda.
Fully aligned with the plans of the Government of
Angola to rebuild the national infrastructure

• Redefining conventional notions of trade in Angola by

Cabinda
• Allowing existing business to grow and new industry to

• Support Angola’s oil and gas sectors
• Provide employment for 600 persons directly and 1000s
indirectly.

• It will be a multi purpose port, including supporting the oil and gas
industry
• The costs associated with the initial phase is approximately USD 600
million
• The port is designed to allow flexibility in the construction of future
phases to meet the customers needs.
