• must have correctly submitted at least one patch
for review prior to selection

• total number of students accepted: 53
• of which 43 have been successful
• = 81% success rate
• how many go on to contribute after their GSoC
term ends: ~19 (name/handle change)
• ~44% post-GSoC retention
