It is, therefore, important to give users  
hooks that allow them to connect between tasks, especially when the context changes.
Context is everything!
And Knowledge is always contextual
The ability to generalise knowledge from one
task to another is directly linked to the learner’s
ability to switch contexts
When switching contexts, we sometimes have
to unlearn some things:

Contextualization Means Engaging the User
Understand user’s global process – not just what  
s/he does when interacting with your product:
How often is s/he interrupted?
What does s/he do when interrupted?
How long are these interruptions?
What are the other regular tasks the user does that relate to use of
this product?

Context State: Snapshot of the user’s current situation - volatile
Context History: Historic record of user’s different past context
states
State Vector: A composite made from a collection of context

Activity – The Role of Emotion
In pairs, tell each other about a difficulty using a technological
product, and the emotions that that generated.
Make a list of those emotions
We now have a list of emotions that users might feel in front of
your product. What can you design into your product to prevent
those from happening, or to assuage them if they do occur?

Connectivism and Emotional Energy
Knowledge creation requires personal investment – there is
always an emotional component.
Knowledge needs to be believable and accepted by respected
authorities – thus consensus needs to be built.
In any knowledge-building group there is a shared emotional
network parallel to the communications network, which must be
in resonance.
