It publishes Hindi and English language newspapers Dainik Jagran and Mid Day. Apart from these it also publishes 7 other newspaper titles in 5 different languages. Its newspapers have a combined number of around 100 editions from 15 states. In 2010 it acquired Mid Day Infomedia which publishes Mid Day (English Tabloid) for INR 200 crores and in 2012, it acquired Nai Dunia (Hindi broadsheet daily) based in MP. In December 2014 it acquired Radio City. $50.6M Blackstone Group Mainstream Bennett, Coleman and Company [Mumbai, 1838]: Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (aka The Times Group) is a mass media company with interests in print, digital and satellite and radio broadcast. Its oldest and flagship product is the English broadsheet daily newspaper The Times Of India which the company claims is the world's largest read English newspaper. It also publishes a business daily The Economic Times and a host of vernacular language newspapers. Its companies - Times Television Network broadcast TV channels like Times Now, ET Now and Zoom. It claims to have a circulation of 1.5M copies per day. The company also runs FM broadcast radio channels under the brand name Club FM in the cities of Thrissur, Kannur and Trivandrum. It also has interests in music and news distribution through its satellite broadcast TV channels Kappa TV and Mathrubhumi News. Mainstream ABP Group [Kolkata, 1922]: ABP Group is a mass media company that started publishing in 1922 with its flagship Bengali language daily newspaper Anandabazar Patrika from the city of Kolkata. The company claims that its is the highest read Bengali newspaper. The company also publishes English language broadsheet daily The Telegraph with editions in East and Northeast India. The company also prints periodicals and magazines. The newspaper claims an average readership of 4.5M as of 2012. The company also has plans to start a satellite broadcast TV news channel. Mainstream Sakal Media [Pune, 1932]: Sakal Media is a mass media company that publishes a Marathi language broadsheet daily newspaper Sakal, which has editions from 17 cities in Maharashtra and Goa. It operates Odyssey, a leisure store for games, music, stationery, etc. Mainstream Daily Thanthi [Chennai, 1942]: Daily Thanthi is a Tamil language broadsheet daily newspaper being published since 1942. It claims a circulation of 14,94,539 copies daily on an average and over 16,27,120 copies on Sunday. The first edition was published in Madurai and now 15 editions are published covering Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Bangalore, and Mumbai. 4. It also broadcasts a news channel Thanthi TV. Mainstream The Shillong Times [Shillong, 1945]: The Shillong Times is an english broadsheet daily newspaper being published from Shillong in Meghalaya state of India. It was started as a weekly tabloid in 1945, and shifted to daily in 1987, converted to offset printing in 1991. It also maintains an epaper edition. Mainstream Sarita Magazine [Delhi, 1945]: Sarita is a fortnightly magazine published and printed by Delhi Press. It is a Hindi language magazine that covers news and op-ed articles across general verticals like politics, current affairs, business and economy, sports, etc. First edition was published in 1945 and the company claims that the magazine has a readership of 9.7M and is the highest read magazine in India. The publisher claims to be circulating 5,82,000 copies per day. It also maintains a digital news portal in Tamil language and also the epaper editions. Mainstream Lokmat [Mumbai, 1953]: Lokmat Media Pvt. Ltd. is a mass media company that has diversified interests in print media, digital media and broadcast media. The company publishes Marathi newspaper Lokmat which has 11 editions and has more than 50 lakh readers as claimed by Indian Readership Survey 2012. It also publishes Hindi newspaper Lokmat Samachar and English daily Lokmat Times. It has a joint venture with Network 18 and broadcasts satellite television news channel IBN-Lokmat. The company's printing press in Nagpur runs completely on Solar power and it plans to do the same at Aurangabad. Mainstream Rajasthan Patrika [Jaipur, 1956]: Rajasthan Patrika Pvt. Mainstream DB Corp [Bhopal, 1956]: DB Corp Ltd. is a mass media company that publishes Hindi language newspaper Dainik Bhaskar which is printed predominantly in the state of Madhya Pradesh and presence in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar, etc. The company also publishes Marathi daily Divya Marathi and Gujarati daily Divya Bhaskar. It also operates Dilligent Media in association with Zee Media which publishes English daily DNA in Mumbai. It also broadcasts FM radio channel My FM 94.3 in 17 cities. Company reported revenues of $250M at the end of 2012-13. Mainstream Express Publications Madurai [Chennai, 1959]: Express Publications (Madurai) Ltd. is a news media publishing company. It split from the mother company that involved Indian Express Ltd. and accordingly controls the south Indian business of the company. It publishes The New Indian Express which is its flagship English language broadsheet daily newspaper. The New Indian Express has 24 editions published from the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. It also publishes Dinamani, a Tamil language broadsheet daily. It has 9 editions and 1 weekly supplementary edition. The Punjab Kesari group also publishes other newspapers Navodaya Times, Hind Samachar and Jagbani. As of April 2012, it was planning to raise PE funding to the tune of INR 150 crore. Mainstream Swati Publications [Vijayawada, 1970]: Swati Publications Pvt. Ltd. publishes a Telugu language weekly magazine with the same name that covers op-ed content on politics, business and economy, cinema and entertainment, sports, etc. with a focus on the state of Andhra Pradesh. Mainstream Udayavani (Manipal Media Network) [Manipal, 1971]: Manipal Media Network publishes a Kannada language broadsheet daily newpaper named Udayavani. The newspaper has 5 editions printed from Bangalore, Manipal, Hubli, Gulbarga and Mumbai. It directly competes with other Kannada dailies Vijayavani and Vijay Karnataka. As per audit bureau of circulations July-Dec 2012 report, the newspaper has a circulation of over 300,000 copies per day. The company also publishes 4 magazines viz. Taranga, Roopatara, Tunturu and Tushara. Mainstream Dharitri [Bhubaneshwar, 1974]: Dharitri is an Oriya language broadsheet daily newspaper published from Bhubaneshwar. The newspaper has 6 editions published from Bhubaneshwar, Sambalpur, Rayagada, Balasore, Berhampur and Angul-Dhenkanal. Mainstream Eenadu [Hyderabad, 1974]: EENADU is a mass media company that publishes a Telugu language daily newspaper with 23 printing centers and circulation spread throughout the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and also has editions in Bangalore and Chennai and has a circulation of 1.8M as of 2013 (audit bureau of circulations).
