1. How to Study Online?
Studying online is an alternative way to studying books. This Presentation
majorly concerns about the internet and studying on it and it’s pros and cons.

2. o Studying online means that you are using the facility of internet to increase
your knowledge and to help you out in your studies.
o Nowadays studying online is not a rare case, many people do that but some of
us or some of our parents are afraid of this. This is because the bad image of
internet that has been developed around us.
o Studying online is always a more advanced way than studying books. We get
more knowledge and we can access to a crowd of information with just a
click.
o Studying online enables us to also share our questions and also our
opinions/ideas.
o Internet is the main source of studying online, so let’s know what internet is…

3.  What is Internet?
According to Encyclopedia Britannica:
it is a system architecture that has revolutionized communications
and methods of commerce by allowing various computer networks around the
world to interconnect. Sometimes referred to as a “network of networks”.
According to Oxford dictionaries:
It is an international computer network connecting other
networks and computers from companies, universities, etc.

4. Internet, computer-based global information system. The Internet is composed of
many interconnected computer networks. Each network may link tens, hundreds, or
even thousands of computers, enabling them to share information with one another
and to share computational resources such as powerful supercomputers and databases
of information.
The Internet has made it possible for people all over the world to communicate with
one another effectively and inexpensively. Unlike traditional broadcasting media, such
as radio and television, the Internet does not have a centralized distribution system.
Instead, an individual who has Internet access can communicate directly with anyone
else on the Internet, make information available to others, find information provided
by others, or sell products with a minimum overhead cost.

5.  On internet we can find many website that can offer the knowledge we need.
Websites can be personal or of an organization so mainly we should consult to
a organizational website so that we may not be misleaded.
Internet provides us further more ways then studying only on websites, we can
also studying offline by the help of internet while we are surfing through the
internet we can also download many PDF extension books that can be read when
there is no access to internet. So our online studying tactic becomes more
productive.
Internet also offers us with video lectures that we can use to understand things
more better. We can also have offline data from the websites stored on our pen
drives and can use that data wherever we need to use it.

6.  Internet is thought to be a leisure time thing to work on. Yes it is also a
leisure time thing but this is not the case all the time, many people in our
society use it as a source of entertainment so that’s why some people become
against it but it can be used very differently and can help us out. So we need
to use it the best way.
Anything Good or Bad depends upon the usage of it.
 Internet is also thought to be very dangerous to use because we can loss our
very essential data or a very secure data can be stolen from our personal
computers but we need to work on some measures that will help us while
working online and we can be worry less of our data.

7. Hackers
 A person who secretly finds a way of looking at and/or changing information on
somebody else’s computer system without permission
Viruses/Worms
 Viruses and worms are the programs designed to invade your computer and
damage your data or copy/delete your data without your permission
Trojans
 These are the type of viruses that pretend to be helpful for some purpose but
instead Trojans destroy your data and steal the important information from your
personal computer and damage your computer.
Spam
 Unwanted e-mail, instant messages,
and other online communication

8. Spyware
 These kind of software are designed to track your online activities or they can
display endless ads on your screen.
Identity Theft
 A crime where your cash/credit and your personal information is accessed by
hackers.
Phishing
 These are the tricks in which an E-mail is sent to you and let you to fake websites
and there they reveal your personal information
Hoaxes
 E-mail sent by online criminals to trick you into giving them money

9. Safe and Secure
Security: We must secure our computers
with technology in the same way that
we secure the doors to our homes.
Safety: We must act in ways that help
protect us against the risks that come
with Internet use.
We must act smartly and we would get the genuine data of our use out of
internet. We should fully protect our computers from damaging things as
discussed in previous slides.

10.  By worrying less about the dangers of internet and using the internet at its
best, we can provide valuable information to others and also can get easy
and safe knowledge.
 Studying online is a way of working smart. Getting knowledge from the
internet can save our priceless time and money.
But while surfing on the internet and finding the required
information that we need, we should take care of the amount of time
that we put in and we should think of our health as well. We should be
aware about the misleading information available on the internet and
should be out of reach of that.
