Global Solutions Specialist: Bid Manager - Sprint Nextel - July 2007 – March 2010.
A pre-sales bid manager supporting large Enterprise Sales opportunities in Europe for US based customers.
Responsible for qualifying solicited and unsolicited business opportunities for new and existing Enterprise
customers, applying technical & commercial solutions in relation to Sprint Nextel's service offerings.
Project managing the bid process to include input and bid production support on ITT, RFI & RFP's for US
Enterprise accounts,from conception to delivery of the final bid submission,and presenting final bids to the
customer.
Construct and provide Commercial offerings throughout the bid process from initiation to final contract
negotiations.
Account management responsibilities for smaller International accounts to provide Business Development

Working as a Bid Manager for the Retail Sales element of Verizon, which consisted ofapprox. 60 Account

Participated in a broker academy, throughout which I was placed and assessed on the Equity, Forex, Oil and
Commodity desks. Through a series of assessments and tests, was successful in being offered one of the 4
placements out of 13 candidates.
Worked on the Equity Derivates desk, responsible for the pricing interface between the Equity brokers and our
Institutional clients. Successfully passed the FSA qualifications - Certificate in Derivatives.
Verizon Business – Service Delivery Manager - MCI WorldCom - January 1996 – November 2002
As a Service Delivery Managerit was my responsibility to manage a multi-task team of 22 staff, whose objective it
was to project manage & install access circuits for the UK & Ireland, through third party providers and inter-
company construction.
Responsible for managing, implementing and supervising to completion approximately 1000 new orders a month, a
3500 order pipeline, and in excess of 50 customer escalations a month.
Monitoring and maintaining in excess of 750 technical buildings/points of presence,to include rent reviews with
private landlords & Institutions.
Managing a team to include appraisal and personnel development plans, whilst being responsible for demanding
Key Performance Indicators, under stringent financial controls.
In conjunction with a construction company and their engineers, survey the external and internal fibre routes,
produce designs & method statements,of which were submitted to private Landlords and local authorities for
approval.
Project managed the construction phases with internal and external construction contractors.

Interests
Having been fortunate enough to be introduced to some rather expensive hobbies at an early age, moreso before I
had a family I was heavily into Fly Fishing, Shooting and Golf (Handicap 5). My other interest lies in the world of
finance and Global Stock markets.
