Tasks as roustabout:
• Preparing drilling equipment prior to use and
cleaning it before returning to storage;
• Maintaining drilling and deck areas clean and tidy;
• Moving drilling tools and materials to and from drill
floor safely and properly;
• Ensuring all tubulars are racked safely;
• Performing "fire watch" duties for welders when
required;
• Carry out relief duties on rig floor when required;
• Assisting with deck operations;
• Assisting with installation and removal of BOP and
wellhead equipment;
• Assisting electrician, mechanics and welders when
required;
• Ensuring all equipment and tools are properly
stored at the end of shift;
• Preparing tubular equipment for running-in
(removing protectors, washing and greasing tubular
threads, measuring and numbering)
• Assisting in running-in operations when required;
• Assisting with loading/offloading the ships(AHTS,
Crane Ships, etc);
• Assisting the derrickman and mud eng. with

maintaining the mud system;
• Cleaning the bulk silos (cement, barite, bentonite),
cement unit and equipment when required;
• Preparing cantilever skidding, assisting the
cantilever skidding;
• Preparing the rig for move;
• Inspecting deck area and drill floor at regular basis.
