2. What is Teams?
• Teams is available to users with Microsoft 365 / Office Licenses
• Accessed via
• Web browser
• Desktop application
• Mobile app
• 0ne-to-0ne or group audio / video calls
• Calls can be scheduled and recorded
• Screens, links and files can be shared during a call
• Each user has 1TB of storage
• 99.9% SLA uptime
3. Teams on the Web
• Go to the Office home page www.office.com
• On the left edge of the screen, you should see a list of available apps
• If you can’t see the Teams Icon, click on ‘All Apps’ to expand the list
• Click the icon to open in a new browser tab
4. Teams on the Desktop
• Go to the Office home page www.office.com
• In the top right corner click the ‘Install Office’ button
• When the installation is complete place shortcuts on your
desktop to those apps you will use most often
• Double Click the Teams icon
5. Teams on Mobile
• Go to the app store for your device
• App Store
• Google Play
• Download the mobile app onto your mobile phone or tablet
• When the installation is complete tap the Teams icon

• We will look at the Desktop App as each is similar in format

7. Apps Bar
Activity: This section holds notifications for anything
related to one of the teams that you have joined
Chat: for instant message style conversations with one or
more colleagues
Teams: Chats, documents, calendars, etc related to
different teams / projects
Calendar: Outlook calendar
Calls: Audio or video internet calls
Files: All files related to each team and shared between
team members.
Communities (Yammer): Social media style, not usually
work related.
