How services are  FUNDED ? The RESOURCE MOBILIZATION DEPARTMENT of BB163 is tasked to do the fundraising. They have evolved an efficient system of fund generation to ensure the long-term viability, growth and sustainability of Bantay Bata 163 programs and services.
How  FUNDS  are raised? ,[object Object],1.  Coinbanks 2 . Solicitation Letters 4 .  Mass Media Campaign 3 .  Merchandise 6.   Active tie-ups with HR Dept of big companies to offer their employees  volunteer CSR activities in the BB programs/services of their choice.  Local &overseas road shows & special events 7.  Grant-writing
Launched in October 1997,  the coinbank is a very effective instrument of fundraising because it allows people from all walks of life and differing economic capacities, the “ feel good ” of being able to help someone else even with  “ loose change ”, in Pilipino, “ barya ”.  ‘ Barya Mo, Buhay Ko ’   COINBANK Project  cans
Coinbanks have been adopted in homes, public and private schools, restaurants, supermarkets, hospitals,  movie houses, corporate offices and even banks, here and in key cities across the globe. ‘ Barya Mo, Buhay Ko ’   COINBANK Project  donation box donation envelope
For it to be a substantial fund generator, BB163 has  had to set up a unit with 7 staff and 2 vehicles who do nothing but distribute and collect about 40,000 cans annually. BB163 proactively sends out solicitation letters to individuals, corporations, associations and groups inviting donations in cash and in-kind.  SOLICITATION  LETTER
Different product lines are produced each year as an avenue of advertising BB163 to keep it top-of- mind. Proceeds are an additional source of funds.  MERCHANDISE
Some of the artworks used in the product designs were from  renowned Filipino artists and photographers and from the gifted children of BB163. MERCHANDISE
MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN To date,  Bantay Bata 163 is the only media-based child institution in the whole of Asia offering a holistic approach in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused children.

MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN ,[object Object],(a). The stories of  Bantay Bata 163 are  aired over the ABS-CBN News Channel  (ANC), watched by Filipinos across the  globe.
MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN (b). Various plugs of BB163 are aired  crossplatform by the ABS-CBN Network: --- Local and Cable Channels: Channel 2, Studio 23,  ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC),  Cinema One, Lifestyle Network,  Teleradyo --- Radio : DZMM and DWRR --- The Filipino Channel (TFC)
MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN ,[object Object],1. Promote the activities and advocacies of  the program (though legal, community outreach, educator’s forum and the like)
MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN 2. Solicit public support for the various fundraising activities and/or roadshows of the program here in the Philippines and overseas.
MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN 3.  Update the status of rescued children,  medical patients, scholars  and other  clients of the program. 4.  Educate the public with stories on  children and their rights, based  on research and advice from  professional experts.
MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN 5.  Televise personal testimonies of donors  to inspire and encourage others to do the  same.
SPECIAL EVENTS/ ROADSHOWS Hundreds of Filipino hère and abroad have raised significant support for BB163 projects through birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, beauty pageants, dinner-dances, bingo socials,  concerts and other initiatives.

BB163 became a part of the CSR of various companies.  This year, BB163 invites more companies with its employées to actively volunteer their services in the BB163 programs/services of their choice. ACTIVE TIE-UPS
Every year, BB163 sends two (2) grant proposals, to organizations, corporations and government bodies here in the Philippines and across the globe. Donors and supporters help inform BB163 of grant opportunities. GRANT - WRITING
The lifeblood of any foundation is its donor base. The Resource Mobilization Department’s primary task is to sustain old donors as they actively pursue looking for new ones.  DONOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT

  • 6. How services are FUNDED ? The RESOURCE MOBILIZATION DEPARTMENT of BB163 is tasked to do the fundraising. They have evolved an efficient system of fund generation to ensure the long-term viability, growth and sustainability of Bantay Bata 163 programs and services.

Launched in October 1997, the coinbank is a very effective instrument of fundraising because it allows people from all walks of life and differing economic capacities, the “ feel good ” of being able to help someone else even with “ loose change ”, in Pilipino, “ barya ”. ‘ Barya Mo, Buhay Ko ’ COINBANK Project cans
  • 9. Coinbanks have been adopted in homes, public and private schools, restaurants, supermarkets, hospitals, movie houses, corporate offices and even banks, here and in key cities across the globe. ‘ Barya Mo, Buhay Ko ’ COINBANK Project donation box donation envelope
  • 10. For it to be a substantial fund generator, BB163 has had to set up a unit with 7 staff and 2 vehicles who do nothing but distribute and collect about 40,000 cans annually.   • 14. MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN To date, Bantay Bata 163 is the only media-based child institution in the whole of Asia offering a holistic approach in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused children.

  • 21. MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN 2. Solicit public support for the various fundraising activities and/or roadshows of the program here in the Philippines and overseas.

  • 24. SPECIAL EVENTS/ ROADSHOWS Hundreds of Filipino hère and abroad have raised significant support for BB163 projects through birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, beauty pageants, dinner-dances, bingo socials, concerts and other initiatives.
