Objective 1: To enhance institutional and sustainable management capacity
of PLANAS and DisasterChannel.co
1-1. To conduct workshops to enhance the disaster management and disaster risk
reduction skills of PLANAS
1.1.1. Disaster Management workshop: Implementation of EICAB DRR Project.
Conducted on July 14-15, 2016 at Paragon Hotel, Central Jakarta. 15 participants (EICAB DRR
Staff and Board of
PLANAS which are from
Private Sector, Education
sector, and
government—Male 9
and Female 6) took part
at the Disaster
Management workshop.
The outcomes from this
workshop as follows:
EICAB DRR has a
guideline for finance,
procurement, and
project management
that will be used as the
guideline for 1 year
project implementation;
Draft of DIP for EICAB
DRR poject have been
used as a work plan that
need to be synchronized
with the DRR Local
Forum both in Bali and
NTB; The Board of
PLANAS support the EICAB DRR Project and giving some notes to be considered in delivering
the project, especially on Coordination and Advocacy.

1.1.2. Disaster Talks on Sendai Framework for DRR : Strengthen national network to
increase public understanding on DRR and support risk informed policy making in
Central Jakarta
Conducted on August 11, 2016 at DEN Building Jakarta. Attended by Government (National
Disaster Management Agency, Agency Intgerated Research Center, etc), NGOs, University,
Researcher, & Mass Media. About 71 (Male 49 and Female 22) people took part in the
workshop. DC will become media partner for expedition and collaboration with national
television (TRANS TV), National disaster management agency (BNPB) orally said that BNPB
will support both for networking and funding related to Palu Koro expedition as a part of
national strategy to understand and inform the risk to public (community)

1.1.3. Re-position of Indonesia National Platform Post of Sendai Framework For Action.
Conducted on August 29 2016 at the Planas Office Secretariat, attended by the board of
Planas to discuss the role of Planas related to Disaster Management in Indonesia. This
workhsop has been facilitated by Dr. H. Iskandar Leman. About 24 (male 14 and Female 10)
people took part in the meeting.
The outcome are as follows: Several aggrements have been aggred by the board, especiall

1.1.4. Strengthening the Role of Indonesia National Platform on DRR Efforts in Disaster Risk
Reduction in Indonesia: Repositioning of National Platform on DRR as an effort to
answer the effective role in Disaster Management, was conducted on February 27, 2017
at PLANAS’ office. 6 people (4 Male and 2 Female) took part in the meeting. The cluster
member of PLANAS PRB based on Sendai Framework need to be discussed, based on the
Sendai Framework for Action, the government cluster should be excuded from the National
Platform. There will be a meeting between PLANAS PRB with BNPB and some ministerial
regarding to the mutual cooperation, the meeting will be conducted on April 2017. Some
decision regarding to the cooperation between A-PAD and PLANAS PRB has been decided

1-2. To hold training programs to enhance disaster management and response capacity
building for PLANAS secretariat office and members
Three workshop have been conducted on November 29 – December 1, 2016 as a series of
Workshop-Training on Disaster Management of PLANAS Secretariat and membes through
improving the Project Management for building back better.
1.2.1. Disaster Management Training Workshop
Workshop was conducted at Alia Cikini Hotel Jakarta on November 29, 2016. It was attended
by 42 participants, consist 32 male and 10 female (exclude or organizing committe from the
PLANAS and EICAB DRR staff). Particpants were came from universities, NGOs, INGOs,
Government, Private Sector, Hospital, Community, and research center. 42 participants has
increased their knowledge regarding to Basic Knowledge on Disaster Management.

1.2.2. Project Management Training Workshop
Workshop was conducted at Alia Cikini Hotel Jakarta on November 30, 2016. It was attended
by 42 participants (30 Male and 12 Female). Particpants were came from universities, NGOs,
INGOs, Government, Private Sector, Hospital, Community, and research center. 42
participants has increased their knowledge regarding to Basic Knowledge on Disaster
Management. Need to follow up the Disaster Management and Project Management
workshop training with Emergency Response training for basic level.

1.2.3. Financial Management Training Workshop
Workshop was conducted at Alia Cikini Hotel Jakarta on December 1, 2016. It was attended
by 43 participants (31 male and 12 Female). 43 participants has increased their knowledge
regarding to financial management in development project. Need to conduct follow–up
workshop for financial management for intermediate level.

1.2.4. Training Workshop on fundraising for Non Profit Organization.
Workshop on Fundraising for Non Profit Organization (PLANAS members and not members).
It was conducted on February 7-8, 2017 at PLANAS’s office Jakarta. 35 persons (17 Male and
18 Female) participated in this training. Evaluation workshop result has been obtained which
described that all participants get benefit from this training and understood with the
knowledge and skill regarding to the fundraising.

1.3. To hold workshops and training programs aimed at improving the information dissemination
capabilities of the disaster portal site “DisasterChannel.co” and “Knowledge Management Center,”
1.3.1. Re-design website DisasterChannel.co
Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co, followed by KMC, DC, Tempo, and “Dewan Studio.
Mostly the event was were conducted at Planas’s office. This Re-Design and Finalization
event tried to finalize as well the english version of Web Disasterchannel.co. the Redesign of
the Website have been conducted since February-May 2016. At least 4 meeting was
conducted as follow :
1. Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co Consultation 2 Workshop-training on March 14, 2016
(English version has been developed), conducted at Planas office, Jakarta. 11 (eleven—
Male: 8 and Female 3) Participants took part in the workshop-training (DC Team). The
outcomes are as follows: The look of the website has been agreed (the template), The
maze of information after the events have been reduced (note: the website during the
periode of February – May 2016 still under recosntruction)
2. Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co Consul 3 on April 8, 2016. It was conducted at Planas
office, Jakarta. 10 (ten----7 Male and 3 Female) participants took part in the workshop
training (DC Team). The outcomes area as follows: The readability of information about
DRR is enhanced (please take a look at the attachment of the document above).
3. Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co Consul 4 on April 10, 2016. It was conducted at
Planas office, Jakarta. 11 (eleven—Male 8 and Female 3) participants took part in the
workshop training (DC Team). The outcomes as follows: The readability of information
about DRR was betterr than before (please to take a look at the attachment on Re-
design of the Web Disasterchannel.co Consultation 2 Workshop-training on March 14,
2016 for the look of the website).
4. Finishing Re-design of the Web Disasterchannel.co Consul 5 on May 17, 2016 at the
Planas’s office, Jakarta. 10 (ten—Male 7 and Female 3) participants took part in the
training (DMC Team). The outcomesplease to see the attachment on Re-design of the
Web Disasterchannel.co Consultation 2)

1.3.2. Participation at Exibition on Annual Scientific Event on DRR on May 23 – 24, 2016 in
Central Jakarta.
Annual Scientific Event, attended by multi stakeholder related to DRR. The event was conducted
on May 23 and May 24, 2016 in Bandung West Java at different venue. Disaster Channel
participated in this event to disseminate information through Exhibition. EICAB DRR Project
APAD-PLANAS supportting the material production at Exibition Disaster Channel.co “Annual
Scientific Event on DRR, session 2” on May 23, 2016 at Central Jakarta. 200 participants
(Male 150 and Female 50) took part in the event. The outcome area as follows:
DisasterChannel contributed as reference on education about disaster ; The website traffic
has been increased.

1.3.3. Training on Photography to improve information dissemination among Planas members
(University, Media, Community, Private Sector, and Government) at PLANAS’ office on July
26, 2016. 40 participants took part in the photography training (Male 27 and Female 13). This
training aims to looking for the voluntary contibutor for DisasterChannel.com regarding to
DRR issues. The contributor will join as subscriber and will give direct information from the
field through an email and discussion. They will receive regular update news as well from
DisasterChannel.Co.

1.3.4. Training on Film Making, to improve information dissemination among Planas members
(University, Media, Community, Private Sector, and Government) at PLANAS’ office on July
27, 2016. There were 63 participants (male 45 and Female 18) took part in the training. The
outcomes from this activity was 63 participants agreed to become voluntary active
contributors related to DRR for Disaster Channel.Co

1.3.5. Workshop on "Improving The Understanding And The Capabilities Of The National
Platform On The Implementation Of “Knowledge Management Center”, Conducted on
October 26, 2016 at Cemara Hotel, Central Jakarta. About 48 participants (26 Male and 22
Female) took part in this workshop consist of various multistakeholder such as University, INGO,
NGO, Journalist, BMKG, Practitioner. The implementation of knowledge management center on
DRR was discussed and defined by National Platform together with other institutions and parties
working on DRR programs. The needs on how to increase and strengthen the institutional
capacity of National Platform related to DRR in supporting the effort and achievement to address
the goal of DRR-EICAB project is identified. The strategy to raise public awareness of disaster
management is improved by involving other institutions and parties that working on DRR
programs. Work plan for the strategic activities in strengthening the capacity of institution and
resource of other institutions and parties related to DRR is developed.

1.3.6. Workshop : To Process Disaster Data and Information for Popular Writing Due to
Increase Website Traffic of DisasterChannel.Co and Disaster Awareness in Jakarta.
Conducted on November 9, 2016 at Planas secretariat’s meeting room. 31 participants (15
Male and 16 Female) took part in this workshop. The participants consist of Private sector,
UN, NGOs, INGOs, Media-Journalist, and Education-University. The participants has
increased their understanding regarding to the processing Disaster Data and Information for
Popular Writing.

1.3.7. Monitoring jurnalism and digital media strategy, has been conducted on November 14,
2016 at Planas secretariat’s meeting room. 28 participants (13 Male and 15 Female) took
part in this workshop. The participants consist of Private sector, UN, NGOs, INGOs, Media-
Journalist, and Education-University. The participants has increased their understanding
regarding to the processing Disaster Data and Information for Popular Writing (please to see
the evaluation form of this workshop).

1.3.8. Workshop on Improving the access of Early Warning System through social media
based approach. Conducted on December 18, 2016 at Pisa Café, Menteng - Jakarta Pusat.
52 participants (Male: 34 and Female: 18) took part in the workshop. The understanding of
Students, bloggers, professional media in the dissemination of information related to an
early warning system for disaster risk reduction was improved and increased. Networks and
new forms of communication with students, bloggers, media professionals in the field of
disaster through their role as a volunteer for disseminators of information and active
contributor in DisasterChannel.Co was increased.

1.3.9. Workshop on Strategic Role of Media Concerning on Public Fundraising Accountability
for Disaster Situation, it was conducted on January 18, 2017 at Bakoel Kofffe Cikini Jakarta.
40 participants (28 Male and 12 Female) took part in the workshop. Output : a. Written
mapping results on a map coordination in the collection of public funds and the basic of
policies and laws; b. Producing a release paper to be distributed to various media about the
awareness of all the partieswhom concerned with the accountability of public fundraising for
disaster response; c. Increase traffic of the DisasterChannel.co as one of the portals that
encourage accountability of public fundraising for disaster response

1.3.10. Workshop on Enhancing Youth Role on Disaster Management in Jakarta City (this
collaboration workshop was financially supported by Open Data Labs), conducted on January
25, 2017. 62 participants (39 Male and 23 Female) took part in the workshop. Output : 1.
Campaigns on disaster preparedness related to youth groups (students) and dissemination
of disaster preparedness infographics in Jakarta was conducted; 2. A forum for youth to talk
and discuss the issues of disaster was provided; 3. Networks of young people in the field of
DRR, through the strategic role of young people was expanded and strengthened; 4. Traffic
of DisasterChannel.co was increased

2.1.1. Workshop of Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk reduction (SFDRR) in NTB Province
The Workshop of SFDRR in West Nusa Tenggara Province was conducted on August 15, 2016
at BPBD Province of NTB. Attended by 30 person (29 Male, 1 Female) consist of many actors
both from government (Police, Military, BMKG, Public Works Dept, Development and Plan
Dept, Social Dept, etc), Non Government Organization, and University . Disemination of Sendai
Framework 2015-2030; improving communication and coordination among APAD-PLANAS,
Local forum, government, and stakeholders; Discussion and synchronize among APAD-PLANAS
PRB program, government policy
and local forum strategic plan; and
dissemination of EICAB DRR project
regulation. The result is the disaster
management priority that need to
be accomplished within 6 months.
The priorities are as follows:

forum for DRR with the Governor
regulation.
2. Review the Provincial Disaster
Management Plan as main
document to be considered by
all stakeholders and sector in
planning, budgeting and
Monitoring.
3. Strengthen the implementation

2.1.2. Promoting Sendai Framework for Disaster Management in Bali province on August 4, 2016
Workshop on Promoting Sendai Framework for Disaster Management in Bali province was
conducted on August 4, 2016 at Bali Province Disaster Management Agency Office. Attended
by 20 people (16 Male and 4 Female) took part in the workshop. FPRB Bali have understand of
Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) and they have planned for need
assessment mapping of capacity building for strengthening Bali Local Forum.

2.2. To hold DM Law Review Discussion committee meetings (conference or symposium style) to
come up with joint policy recommendations.
2.2.1 Workshop on Notes of the End of Year 2016: Strengthen national network to increase
public understanding on DRR and support risk informed policy making through:
Building the Spirit of Movement for Disaster Risk Reduction”. Conducted on December
21, 2016 at Parliament meeting room – Jakarta. 55 participants (Male 37 and Female 18)
from various multistakeholders took part in the workshop. Mrs. Hetifa, from Golkar Party
said she will follow up the discussion result through conducting separate meeting with
others parliament members related to disaster issues. Planaswith AMPU will improve the
quality content of Academic Document, developing key strategic and message to be
diseminated into others parliament members. IFRC will work together with PLANAS and
AMPU for 6 months coming activities.

2.2.2 Year-End Reflection: Seeing the Direction of Disaster Management (DM) Policy in
Indonesia. Conducted on December 27, 2016 at Alia Hotel, Cikini, Central Jakarta. 104
participants (76 Male and 28 Female) took part in this symposium. Problems regarding to
disaster management and policy in Indonesia have been identifie. Recomendation regarding
to DM policy improvement in Indonesia have been obtained starting from national up to
village level.

2.3. To hold workshops on private sector role in disaster management and disaster-related areas
and on the potential for collaboration with private industry in disaster management.
2.3.1. Workshop on The Strategic Role of Private Sector in Effort to Create Community
Resilience to Disaster has been conducted on January 25-26, 2017 at RedTop Hotel
Jakarta. There were 109 participants (61 male and 48 Female) took part in this workshop.
Best practice from APAD –PLANAS Project in Bali and West Nusa Tenggara has been
presented. Recommedations of multi sector policies and strategic activities related to the
role of the private sector in disaster risk reduction in Indonesia has ben obtained. BNPB and
Indonesia Chambers of Commerce (KADIN) interesting to follow up the result of the
workshop into some activities that will be integrated on CSR program at KADIN and
preparedness activities for private sector engagement on DRR.

2.3.2. Workshop on the participation of the Private Sector, Government and Society in
Establishing of the Mechanism and Method of Calculation Regarding to Losses and
Damages Against Potential Disaster in Jakarta Province. It was conducted on February
28, 2017 at Cemara Hotel, Central Jakarta. This is cost sharing workshop with the BPBD of
DKI Jakarta province. here were 64 people (46 male, 18 female) participate in this
workhsop, consist of private sector, government, NGOs, University, and INGOs. Some
perspektif regarding to the calculation of losses and damages have been presented from
various stakeholders (private-community-government). 6 Action Plan have been obtained
through this workhsop regarding to the drafting of Governor Regulation on Calculation of
Losses and Damages. There will be a meeting as continuation from this workshop that will
be conducted at March 20-24, 2017 at BPBD Province of DKI Jakarta’s office. All
expenditures regarding this meeting will be covered by BPBD DKI province of Jakarta.

3.1. To Formulate a “provincial level disaster management action plan” in Bali and West Nusa
Tenggara provinces modeled on Indonesia’s national disaster management plan
3.1.1. Preparation Event Workshop to Formulate a Provincial Level Action Plan: Field Study
and Network Building through Mapping potential actors of DRR and Consolidations of
all Bali Forum on DRR’s Members. Workshop was conducted on August 19, 2016 ate
Orange J Hotel, Bali Province. Attended by multi stakeholder in Bali (Government, Non
government, Mass media, Uiversity, etc) which have an interest on DRR. There were 96
people (74 male and 22 female) took part in the workshop. This event conducted a
declaration of commitment among multi stakeholder in Bali to work together to evercome
all chalenges in bali related to Disaster through DRR Local Forum of Bali Province.

3.1.3. Internal Meeting Bali Forum on DRR with BPBD of Bali Province, Pusdalops (center of
operation control for disaster), have been conducted twice, they were on October 3, 2016 at
the3rd floor of DRR Local forum of Bali province’s meeting room, and on October 18, 2016,
the meeting was conducted at Center of Operation Control for disaster (Pusdalops).
(expenditures for these activity have been covered by BPBD and PHRI, BHA). About 10 (8
Male and 2 Female) participants from multistakeholder: BPBD Province of Bali, Bali Hotel
Association, Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), and DRR Local Forum of Bali
Province took part in this meetin. The flow of Project framework have been decided together.
Developing Term of Refference (TOR) for two activities as follows: Policy of Advocacy and
Capacity building for hotel through training on Disaster Management and Response.

3.1.4. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Sharing experience on the Assesment process of Hotel
Prepardness Certification in Bali Province on November 3, 2016 at Dynasty Hotel. There
were 48 participants (45 Male and 3 Female) attended in this activity. Output : Sharing of
experience regarding to disaster preparedness implementation in each hotel has been
documented and became remarks that need to be considered in improving the content of
Hotel certification process. Improving the content of disaster preparedness policy in hotel
certification document through some notes from each of the group.

3.1.5. Field study and build a network on DRR in West Nusa Tenggara, the activities have been
conducted since 3rd week – 4th week of October 2016 at some hotels in West Nusa
Tenggara (NTB). At least 8 persons (5 Male and 3 Female) participate in this activity. Output:
a. Data base of disaster preparedness in local tourism area including hotels, restaurant and
the community surrounding of the tourism area; b. BPBD Province of NTB and visited private
sectors (hotels) are committed to improve their capacity in disaster management and
preparedness’ level.

coordination meeting are attended by local forum from district /city level. Output: arrange
DRR local forum of West Nusa Tenggara Province as a commitment and guidance to DRR
practices in West Nusa Tenggara 2017 – 2018.

Forum of Regional Leader (FORKOMINDA). It was conducted on February 3rd, 2017 at

meeting, consist of the Secretary of North Lombok District, BPBD of North Lombok District,
BPBD of NTB Province, and EICAB DRR team—area coordinator and Project Manager.

Assessment -3rd Internal Meeting: Verification Team of Hotel Preparedness
Certification for Tourism Industry in Bali. It was conducted on February 8, 2017 at BPBD
Province of Bali’s office. 19 people (18 Male and 1 Female) took part in this meeting. The
participants consist of PMI, BPBD Province of Bali, DRR Local Forum, PHRI. Task force
presenting the manual draft of Hotel Preparedness Certification in Bali. There were input for
internal policy (strategic plan of Regional Province of Bali Disaster Management Agency) into
Manual of Hotel Preparedness Certification in Bali. There has been determined the task force
which consit of 5 (person/expert) to finalize the draft of the Manual guideline for Hotel
preparedness certification in Bali.

3.1.15. Final Workshop on Institutional Strengthening and Sustainability Efforts in Disaster
Risk Reduction on Provincial Forum and National Platform on Disaster Risk
Reduction through the cooperation beetwen APAD and Naional Forum on Disaster
Risk Reduction. It was conducted on February 22, 2017 at BPBD Province of Bali’s office at
the 3rd floor. 11 people (8 Male and 3 Female) took part in this meeting, consist of the Hotel
of Amankilla, Hotel Legian, PHRI of Bali, DRR Local Forum, PLANAS, A-PAD, BPBD Province of
Bali. Head of DRR Local Forum of Bali Provincehas presented the project implementation
and result during the cooperation project in Bali Province. There were several input and
recomendation for the project cylce and management at EICAB DRR and National Platform
on DRR if there will be a project continuation in Bali Province. Important notes and input
have been gained as well for the strengthening of tourism industries, especially for the
implementation of the Certification of Hotel Preparedness.

District, and the Head of North Lombok District. TheEarthquake-Tsunami contingency plan
document has been signed by the Head of North Lombok District. All the cost for this

3.1.17. Final Workshop on Institutional Strengthening and Sustainability Efforts in Disaster
Risk Reduction on Provincial Forum and National Platform on Disaster Risk
Reduction through the cooperation beetwen APAD and National Forum on Disaster
Risk Reduction. It was conducted on February 24, 2017 at BPBD Province of NTB’s meeting
room. 31 (28 Male and 3 Female) people took part in the worshop, consist of BPBD province
of NTB, PHRI/IHRA, University, NGO, INGO, Government Sector, Police, Military, Private
Sector, Media. The project implementation result have been presented and some input have
been obtained from the participants. The Participatory scoring evaluation from various
multistakeholder at NTB Province for the achievement of the outcome indicator have been
conducted. MOU between PHRI and BPBD Province regarding to the comitment of PHRI on
DRR as well as aset protection for tourism industries in NTB has been signed.

management are improved; b. Participant could understand their role in disaster
management based on their capacity in the whole phase, before, during, and after disaster

after disaster based on their capacity.

took part in the 3 days training of Basic Disaster Management with subjects as
follows:Principal of Disaster management,, SFDRR and DRR policy in Indonesia, Preparedness
and Responseto Disaster, Mitigation, Evacuation Plan, Risk Analysis, Table Top Exercise, and
HotelCertification Policy in Bali province. Participants have improved their knowledge
through the training .

1.2.4. Workshop on DRR collaboration with tourism industries and private sector in NTB
(Reviewing and Updating the Earth-Quake Tsunami Contingency Plan of North
Lombok District-this contingency plan will become a role model contingency plan for
the other district in West Nusa Tenggara regarding to the Role of Private Sector to be
included since at the Prepadness-Emergency Stage). Conducted on November 30 to
December 2, 2016 at BPBD of NTB Province. There’re 42 persons (38 Male and 4 Female)
participate in this workshop. The mechanism of the early warning information from BMKG
to tourism industries (Hotels) were agreed. The role of private sectors and tourism industries
have been mentioned clearly in Tsunami contingency plan of North Lombok district. There
are 5 hotels that have their Standard Operational Procedure in Disaster preparedness. PHRI
become a member of DRR Local Forum of West Nusa Tenggara.

at the BPBD’s office of NTB Province.. This is important steps to reduce financial problem in the future. This activity
also prepared the Promoting Sendai Framework workshop as the first activity that managed by local forum.

  • 4. Objective 1: To enhance institutional and sustainable management capacity of PLANAS and DisasterChannel.co 1-1. To conduct workshops to enhance the disaster management and disaster risk reduction skills of PLANAS 1.1.1. Disaster Management workshop: Implementation of EICAB DRR Project. Conducted on July 14-15, 2016 at Paragon Hotel, Central Jakarta. 15 participants (EICAB DRR Staff and Board of PLANAS which are from Private Sector, Education sector, and government—Male 9 and Female 6) took part at the Disaster Management workshop. The outcomes from this workshop as follows: EICAB DRR has a guideline for finance, procurement, and project management that will be used as the guideline for 1 year project implementation; Draft of DIP for EICAB DRR poject have been used as a work plan that need to be synchronized with the DRR Local Forum both in Bali and NTB; The Board of PLANAS support the EICAB DRR Project and giving some notes to be considered in delivering the project, especially on Coordination and Advocacy. Disaster Talks on Sendai Framework for DRR : Strengthen national network to increase public understanding on DRR and support risk informed policy making in Central Jakarta Conducted on August 11, 2016 at DEN Building Jakarta. Attended by Government (National Disaster Management Agency, Agency Intgerated Research Center, etc), NGOs, University, Researcher, & Mass Media. About 71 (Male 49 and Female 22) people took part in the workshop. Conducted on August 29 2016 at the Planas Office Secretariat, attended by the board of Planas to discuss the role of Planas related to Disaster Management in Indonesia. This workhsop has been facilitated by Dr. H. Iskandar Leman. About 24 (male 14 and Female 10) people took part in the meeting. Strengthening the Role of Indonesia National Platform on DRR Efforts in Disaster Risk Reduction in Indonesia: Repositioning of National Platform on DRR as an effort to answer the effective role in Disaster Management, was conducted on February 27, 2017 at PLANAS’ office. 6 people (4 Male and 2 Female) took part in the meeting. The cluster member of PLANAS PRB based on Sendai Framework need to be discussed, based on the Sendai Framework for Action, the government cluster should be excuded from the National Platform. There will be a meeting between PLANAS PRB with BNPB and some ministerial regarding to the mutual cooperation, the meeting will be conducted on April 2017. To hold training programs to enhance disaster management and response capacity building for PLANAS secretariat office and members Three workshop have been conducted on November 29 – December 1, 2016 as a series of Workshop-Training on Disaster Management of PLANAS Secretariat and membes through improving the Project Management for building back better. 1.2.1. Disaster Management Training Workshop Workshop was conducted at Alia Cikini Hotel Jakarta on November 29, 2016. It was attended by 42 participants, consist 32 male and 10 female (exclude or organizing committe from the PLANAS and EICAB DRR staff). Particpants were came from universities, NGOs, INGOs, Government, Private Sector, Hospital, Community, and research center. 42 participants has increased their knowledge regarding to Basic Knowledge on Disaster Management. Particpants were came from universities, NGOs, INGOs, Government, Private Sector, Hospital, Community, and research center. 42 participants has increased their knowledge regarding to Basic Knowledge on Disaster Management. Need to follow up the Disaster Management and Project Management workshop training with Emergency Response training for basic level. It was attended by 43 participants (31 male and 12 Female). 43 participants has increased their knowledge regarding to financial management in development project.   • 11. 1.2.4. Training Workshop on fundraising for Non Profit Organization. Workshop on Fundraising for Non Profit Organization (PLANAS members and not members). It was conducted on February 7-8, 2017 at PLANAS’s office Jakarta. 35 persons (17 Male and 18 Female) participated in this training. Evaluation workshop result has been obtained which described that all participants get benefit from this training and understood with the knowledge and skill regarding to the fundraising. To hold workshops and training programs aimed at improving the information dissemination capabilities of the disaster portal site “DisasterChannel.co” and “Knowledge Management Center,” 1.3.1. Re-design website DisasterChannel.co Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co, followed by KMC, DC, Tempo, and “Dewan Studio. Mostly the event was were conducted at Planas’s office. This Re-Design and Finalization event tried to finalize as well the english version of Web Disasterchannel.co. the Redesign of the Website have been conducted since February-May 2016. At least 4 meeting was conducted as follow : 1. Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co Consultation 2 Workshop-training on March 14, 2016 (English version has been developed), conducted at Planas office, Jakarta. 11 (eleven— Male: 8 and Female 3) Participants took part in the workshop-training (DC Team). The outcomes are as follows: The look of the website has been agreed (the template), The maze of information after the events have been reduced (note: the website during the periode of February – May 2016 still under recosntruction) 2. Re-design Web Disasterchannel.co Consul 3 on April 8, 2016. It was conducted at Planas office, Jakarta. 10 (ten----7 Male and 3 Female) participants took part in the workshop training (DC Team).   • 14. 1.3.2. Participation at Exibition on Annual Scientific Event on DRR on May 23 – 24, 2016 in Central Jakarta. Annual Scientific Event, attended by multi stakeholder related to DRR. The event was conducted on May 23 and May 24, 2016 in Bandung West Java at different venue. Disaster Channel participated in this event to disseminate information through Exhibition. EICAB DRR Project APAD-PLANAS supportting the material production at Exibition Disaster Channel.co “Annual Scientific Event on DRR, session 2” on May 23, 2016 at Central Jakarta. 200 participants (Male 150 and Female 50) took part in the event. The outcome area as follows: DisasterChannel contributed as reference on education about disaster ; The website traffic has been increased. Training on Photography to improve information dissemination among Planas members (University, Media, Community, Private Sector, and Government) at PLANAS’ office on July 26, 2016. 40 participants took part in the photography training (Male 27 and Female 13). This training aims to looking for the voluntary contibutor for DisasterChannel.com regarding to DRR issues. The contributor will join as subscriber and will give direct information from the field through an email and discussion. They will receive regular update news as well from DisasterChannel.Co. There were 63 participants (male 45 and Female 18) took part in the training. Workshop on "Improving The Understanding And The Capabilities Of The National Platform On The Implementation Of “Knowledge Management Center”, Conducted on October 26, 2016 at Cemara Hotel, Central Jakarta. About 48 participants (26 Male and 22 Female) took part in this workshop consist of various multistakeholder such as University, INGO, NGO, Journalist, BMKG, Practitioner. The implementation of knowledge management center on DRR was discussed and defined by National Platform together with other institutions and parties working on DRR programs. The needs on how to increase and strengthen the institutional capacity of National Platform related to DRR in supporting the effort and achievement to address the goal of DRR-EICAB project is identified. The strategy to raise public awareness of disaster management is improved by involving other institutions and parties that working on DRR programs. Work plan for the strategic activities in strengthening the capacity of institution and resource of other institutions and parties related to DRR is developed. Conducted on November 9, 2016 at Planas secretariat’s meeting room. 31 participants (15 Male and 16 Female) took part in this workshop. The participants consist of Private sector, UN, NGOs, INGOs, Media-Journalist, and Education-University. The participants has increased their understanding regarding to the processing Disaster Data and Information for Popular Writing. Conducted on December 18, 2016 at Pisa Café, Menteng - Jakarta Pusat. 52 participants (Male: 34 and Female: 18) took part in the workshop. The understanding of Students, bloggers, professional media in the dissemination of information related to an early warning system for disaster risk reduction was improved and increased. Networks and new forms of communication with students, bloggers, media professionals in the field of disaster through their role as a volunteer for disseminators of information and active contributor in DisasterChannel.Co was increased. Workshop on Strategic Role of Media Concerning on Public Fundraising Accountability for Disaster Situation, it was conducted on January 18, 2017 at Bakoel Kofffe Cikini Jakarta. 40 participants (28 Male and 12 Female) took part in the workshop. Output : a. Written mapping results on a map coordination in the collection of public funds and the basic of policies and laws; b. Producing a release paper to be distributed to various media about the awareness of all the partieswhom concerned with the accountability of public fundraising for disaster response; c. Workshop on Enhancing Youth Role on Disaster Management in Jakarta City (this collaboration workshop was financially supported by Open Data Labs), conducted on January 25, 2017. 62 participants (39 Male and 23 Female) took part in the workshop. Output : 1. Campaigns on disaster preparedness related to youth groups (students) and dissemination of disaster preparedness infographics in Jakarta was conducted; 2. A forum for youth to talk and discuss the issues of disaster was provided; 3. Networks of young people in the field of DRR, through the strategic role of young people was expanded and strengthened; 4. Workshop of Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk reduction (SFDRR) in NTB Province The Workshop of SFDRR in West Nusa Tenggara Province was conducted on August 15, 2016 at BPBD Province of NTB. Attended by 30 person (29 Male, 1 Female) consist of many actors both from government (Police, Military, BMKG, Public Works Dept, Development and Plan Dept, Social Dept, etc), Non Government Organization, and University . Disemination of Sendai Framework 2015-2030; improving communication and coordination among APAD-PLANAS, Local forum, government, and stakeholders; Discussion and synchronize among APAD-PLANAS PRB program, government policy and local forum strategic plan; and dissemination of EICAB DRR project regulation. The result is the disaster management priority that need to be accomplished within 6 months. The priorities are as follows: 1. Establishing Provincial Local forum for DRR with the Governor regulation. 2. Review the Provincial Disaster Management Plan as main document to be considered by all stakeholders and sector in planning, budgeting and Monitoring. 3. Strengthen the implementation of the PERDA 9/2014 through the Governor Regulation for Disaster Risk Reduction. 4. Engaging private sectors especially tourism industries through Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI). Conducted on December 21, 2016 at Parliament meeting room – Jakarta. 55 participants (Male 37 and Female 18) from various multistakeholders took part in the workshop. Mrs. Hetifa, from Golkar Party said she will follow up the discussion result through conducting separate meeting with others parliament members related to disaster issues. Planaswith AMPU will improve the quality content of Academic Document, developing key strategic and message to be diseminated into others parliament members. Workshop on The Strategic Role of Private Sector in Effort to Create Community Resilience to Disaster has been conducted on January 25-26, 2017 at RedTop Hotel Jakarta. There were 109 participants (61 male and 48 Female) took part in this workshop. Best practice from APAD –PLANAS Project in Bali and West Nusa Tenggara has been presented. Recommedations of multi sector policies and strategic activities related to the role of the private sector in disaster risk reduction in Indonesia has ben obtained. BNPB and Indonesia Chambers of Commerce (KADIN) interesting to follow up the result of the workshop into some activities that will be integrated on CSR program at KADIN and preparedness activities for private sector engagement on DRR. Workshop on the participation of the Private Sector, Government and Society in Establishing of the Mechanism and Method of Calculation Regarding to Losses and Damages Against Potential Disaster in Jakarta Province. It was conducted on February 28, 2017 at Cemara Hotel, Central Jakarta. This is cost sharing workshop with the BPBD of DKI Jakarta province. here were 64 people (46 male, 18 female) participate in this workhsop, consist of private sector, government, NGOs, University, and INGOs. Some perspektif regarding to the calculation of losses and damages have been presented from various stakeholders (private-community-government). 6 Action Plan have been obtained through this workhsop regarding to the drafting of Governor Regulation on Calculation of Losses and Damages. There will be a meeting as continuation from this workshop that will be conducted at March 20-24, 2017 at BPBD Province of DKI Jakarta’s office. Internal Meeting Bali Forum on DRR with BPBD of Bali Province, Pusdalops (center of operation control for disaster), have been conducted twice, they were on October 3, 2016 at the3rd floor of DRR Local forum of Bali province’s meeting room, and on October 18, 2016, the meeting was conducted at Center of Operation Control for disaster (Pusdalops). (expenditures for these activity have been covered by BPBD and PHRI, BHA). There were 48 participants (45 Male and 3 Female) attended in this activity. Output : Sharing of experience regarding to disaster preparedness implementation in each hotel has been documented and became remarks that need to be considered in improving the content of Hotel certification process. Head of DRR Local Forum of Bali Provincehas presented the project implementation and result during the cooperation project in Bali Province. There were several input and recomendation for the project cylce and management at EICAB DRR and National Platform on DRR if there will be a project continuation in Bali Province. The mechanism of the early warning information from BMKG to tourism industries (Hotels) were agreed. The role of private sectors and tourism industries have been mentioned clearly in Tsunami contingency plan of North Lombok district.   • 56. Other Activities: Picture 6.EICAB DRR Finance Manager is giving financial regulation briefing to the local forum for DRR on August 13, 2016 at the BPBD’s office of NTB Province.. This is important steps to reduce financial problem in the future. This activity also prepared the Promoting Sendai Framework workshop as the first activity that managed by local forum. Picture 5.The board of Local Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction of NTB province discussed about their implementation plan and the possibility of EICAB DRR Project support in the implementation as preparation for synchronization with Sendai Framework, National Disaster Management Strategic Plan, and provincial strategic plan.
