1. Teresa was born and raised in Lineville, Alabama by her loving parents, Billy and Ada Hardy.
She is a proud mother of one son, Jomarius. She has six siblings, fifteen nieces, and eleven
nephews. She graduated from University of Alabama in Birmingham with BS in Management
Information Systems and Human Resource Management. Teresa enjoys reading, dancing,
international traveling, volunteering in her community and spending time with family.

Teresa Hardy is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer for the Dollar Empowered
Community (The DEC) LLC. The DEC is a commercial real estate syndicate formed to close the
wealth gap in the black community.
Teresa Hardy is a Community Trailblazer and most notable as former President of the NAACP
DeKalb Branch. She made positive impacts in increasing membership, outreach and fundraising
over 50 % in the following focus areas: Voter Rights Empowerment, Economic Justice,
