3. Purpose
The purpose of the the show is to entertain the audience and make them fear for the characters
lives. Also so they keep watching the show every week to make sure that they're favorite
characters survive and the ones they dislike get eaten alive by flesh eating monsters.

4. Form and Style
The show is around 40 minuets per episode with the first episode of each series being about an
hour long. The mood of each episode is usually quite nervy, the characters are always worried
and scared. Usually it is fairly relaxed at the beginning until something happens or someone
dies, then it becomes a bit more edgy.

5. Content
The main characters of the show are a group of friends who have been together from the start.
In the heart of this group is Rick, he is the leader who lot his wife early on, and his two children.
They are set in Atlanta but have been constantly moving since the beginning. Whenever we think
they have settled down somewhere, something happens and they have to leave.

6. Meaning
the show doesn’t really convey that big of a message, the only message id say there is, is that
family is the most important thing for them in that situation. And that morals really go out the
window when you are in the situations they are put in.

7. Genre
The genre for this series is a sub genre of Horror/Fiction. A sub genre is where two genres are
put together, this happens when a TV show or film has more than one main genre.

8. Target Audience
I think the show is aimed at teenagers or young adults. The majority of websites say that you
should be 16+ to watch the series. But, in the majority of the user reviews most parents disagree
and say 14+ is the age in which children or teens should watch the series.

9. Frequency
The show is on every week with about a months mid season break. After each season the show is
usually stopped for around 7-12 months. Id say you defiantly have to watch it all to enjoy and
understand the show, you cant just dip in and out. If you dip in 3 seasons in then you cant form
as good a relationship with some of the characters. This is bad because the whole idea is that
you follow certain characters around hoping they don’t die. If you did in and out you wont have
this, and will get bored very easily.
