1. Dear families,
We are conscious that nowadays new technologies take a very important role in our daily life.
Computers, tablets, mobile phones, social-networks… these concepts are no longer stranger
for us. New technologies oblige us to change our traditional methods and resources in the
classroom. That is the reason why we are going to introduce technology in our school. We wish
to offer an education based on technology in order to satisfy the demands of the new society.
However, the use of these technologies requires the students to consider the responsibilities
that this implies. That is the reason why we offer this Student Technology responsible use
policy.
Please, pay attention to it and sign it in case you agree.
What types of devices will we use in the school?
We will consider these devices:
- Mobile phones
- Tablets/Ipads
- Computers and laptops
- Cameras and videocameras.
What apps and tools will students use?
These are the main app teacher will encourage students to use it. Next to each app or tool you
can find a brief text about the advantages of its use.
- Twitter: This is a good way to share information and knowledge focus on principal
statements or ideas or make short assessments or synopsis.
- Skype: This tool will allow us to keep in contact with foreign schools. This activity
belongs to the bilingual project of the school
- Google: Within google, we include apps like: google drive, google calendar, gmail or
google sites, google maps and blogger.
- Pinterest: Thanks to pinterest, students will be able to keep interesting contents about
different topics and share them.
- Dvolver, powtoon, animoto, videomarker: They will create their own stories
- Dropbox: It is an excellent tool to keep works in internet so that they can access to
them in any moment and from any device.
Privacy and protection measures
In order to secure student’s privacy and the well use of these tools and devices, from the
school we will have some measures in order to protect them.

2. - We have installed filters in all of our computer in order to avoid students to enter in
some webs and tools and protect them against any threat of the network
- All the accounts students will register will not be personal. The use of this account will
be only for the school. They will not show any personal information. Besides, teachers
will have access to all the student’s accounts in order to secure the well use of them.
- In case of Twitter, students will be forbidden to follow people unconnected with the
school. If the rule were broken, It will lead to eliminate the account.
Responsible use
All the students have to take into account the behaviors that will be expected in the use of the
technologies. These are:
- Respect to others: their culture, their customs and their social background
- Do a well use of the technology which they will have access to
- Be critical when they choose or select information.
- Discuss things and contents in a positive way being tolerate with other opinions.
- Treat school resources carefully.
