7. WHAT IS SKETCHUP?
 Sketchup is the first FREE open-sourced software to
design professional 3D and 2D models
 K-12 Education users can choose between Sketchup
Free Version and Sketchup Pro (free for educators and
affordable for students/schools)
 Sketchup Plus version costs money
 Students can use in class and download at home.
 Google has owned it for many years but it is now
owned by Trimble (name transition is happening now) .

What is AR (Augmented Reality)?
 One of the latest AND exciting technology ideas.
 Augmented Reality uses built in web cameras to create the
illusion of a hologram with certain 3D programs and websites.
For example a 3D model you may see on the screen can
suddenly appear to be sitting in your hand.
 Using AR with Sketchup can give you the feeling of “holding”
your model in your hand
