What is global marketing?
 Global marketing is more than just selling a product internationally. Its
much more than that. It includes the whole process of planning, producing,
placing, and promoting a company’s products within a worldwide market.
Most large businesses often have offices foreign countries they market to;
but with the growth of the Internet, even smaller companies can reach out
to customers throughout the world.
What kind of customers does global marketing reach?
 Customers can be reached nearly
anywhere in the world. The United
States’ biggest trading partners are
Canada, Mexico, China, and the
European Union. That’s just the US
alone. The international trade market
is does not end there, the list goes on
with other countries.
Pros of Global Marketing
 Broader Target Market can be reached
 Smaller brands can go global
 Build Some international Relationships
 It increases the visibility of a brand
Cons of Global Marketing
 There will always be risk
 There may be different laws & qualities which need to be met
 Creates a need for international product delivery
 There may not be a market for certain products
Importance of global marketing
As a company grows and learns, the more effective it becomes at
rolling out new and improved products or services. As businesses
continue to grown and offer customers better options, businesses can
share their improvements with a wider audience. It also creates a
stronger competitive advantage for many companies. Most companies
don’t have a hard time at competing on a local basis. Competing on a
global basis allows customers globally to be better-informed and
more focused on the products an services being offered.
