he VIMOC Landscape-Computing wireless vehicle
parking detection and management system uses
embedded, in-ground sensors to detect the occupancy of
vehicles parked over them. The system provides an
accurate, lower-cost, and easier to install alternative to
other occupancy detection systems; many of which are
overhead mounted, not suitable for outdoor or surface
only applications, that need costly cable ducting.
Occupancy data and analysis is presented via a web-based
interface or accessed via an open API, allowing
simple integration with management information systems.

COST EFFECTIVE OCCUPANCY DETECTION FOR A WIDE RANGE OF
APPLICATIONS ! Featuring Landscape-Computing technology, the VIMOC LC200 Occupancy Detector
has been designed to accurately and reliably detect the presence of a vehicle in a
defined zone including over prolonged occupancy. The LC200 is suitable for a wide
range of applications, such as: car parking space occupancy, dynamic parking payment
schemes, and monitoring of ‘No Parking’ zones. Output from the system can be linked
to management information and control systems and/or variable message signs. The
open API can be accessed directly by any vehicle GPS navigation system, providing
guidance to closest parking space. VIMOC provides its API to different mobile and web
registered application developers for iOS and Android, enabling real-time parking
status feeds to enhance the capability of any existing application.
A WIRELESS SECURED INFRASTRUCTURE KEY FEATURES
Unlike many occupancy systems that rely
on overhead mounting, the LC200 sensors
wirelessly transmit their detection data in
real time, via secure low power radio
technology, to a nearby LC201 Sensory
Router which feeds the information to the
Landscape-Computing mesh network
infrastructure, providing intelligence and
data mining at the edge of the network. The

eliminates single point of failure and
provides secure and correlated data and
intelligence to any application via our API.

With greater than 99% accuracy in occupancy detection, it yields excellent reliability,
coupled to advanced low power bi-directional communications between the detector and
other components in the system, enabling remote monitoring of the system and battery
levels. The LC200 Occupancy System utilizes advanced fusion sensory technology with
embedded optical and magnetic sensors, reducing errors due to magnetic interference
and providing a high level of accuracy and reliability. Landscape-Computing infrastructure
provides intelligence at the edge of the network and enhances the integrity of the system
by using advanced signal processing and machine learning algorithms.

he LC200 Surface Mounted Wireless
Occupancy Sensor is a robust detection
system combining a sensitive magnetometer
and a smart optical sensor equipped with a
low power secure radio transmitter and a
micro-controller.

The detection combines 3 variables,
(1)magnetic, (2)optical, and (3)RF attenuation
making the device a robust and reliable,
highly accurate detection system. The sensor
is packaged in a small hardened plastic IP68
rated enclosure for quick and easy installation

he low power transmission technology
combined with its integral high quality battery,
ensures an average operational life of 3 years
(7 year battery life option available).

3. LANDSCAPE COMPUTING ACCESS POINT (nBOX), LC203 ! The LC203 Access Point is the computing node of the Landscape-Computing mesh
network. Each node maintains 2-way communications with up to 160 LC200 sensors via
LC201 Router Units. ! The Access Point is housed in a small powered cabinet
with an externally mounted antenna for the wireless
network. It provides the gateway and local data
collection point for the LC200 occupancy system and
the interface to third party parking management systems
via an Ethernet and/or 3G/4G TCP based REST
Application Programming Interface (API). With these
management systems parking bay occupancy and
optimization can be monitored and managed via
variable message signs or mobile application devices to
direct drivers to available spaces. ! The Landscape-Computing platform connects different
LC203 Access Point in a mesh configuration to form a
computing grid, providing a high-level of intelligence
within the edge of the network and a rich API allowing
IoT and Smart City service providers to build advanced
and scalable applications, while reducing software
complexity and eliminating a single point of failure. ! The nBox Computing Node can connect with different
type of sensors allowing a high level of data correlation.
