Lutsk Upper Castle
Lutsk Upper Castle is the central building Lutsk
StateHistorical and Cultural Reserve "Old City".
Consolidated last Grand Duke of Galicia-
Volyn principality Dmitry Lubart in the 1340-1383
biennium. Castle served as his residence. Over time, the castle
became a favorite place of residence of the Grand Duke of
ithuania Vytautas. It was here in winter 1429 at the
Congress Vytautas took diplomatic embassies and monarchs
of Central and Eastern Europe which have solved the major
problems of international relations.

Kamenetz Podolsky

Akkerman Fortress
• Akkerman Fortress - one of the most powerful and most
interesting strongholds in the South. Its well preserved
walls, overlooking the dark waters of the estuary, and now
hit its grandeur and inaccessibility ... The fortress stands
on a rocky bank of the Dniester estuary in place of Thira.
It consists of four parts: Genoese citadel or castle north

Metropolitan palace
Most outstanding masterpiece of architecture in Western
Ukraine - the former residence of Bukovina metropolitans,
located in Chernivtsi. The former residence of Bukovina and
Dalmatia Metropolitans was built by the famous Czech
architect Josef Hlavka in the 1862-1882 biennium. The
building was created in Moorish-Byzantine style. The scope
of works was significant, because specially developed for the
construction of a number of special quarries in Bukovina, the
city has earned one of two brick and ceramic factories as well as
a school for builders.

Khotyn Fortress
• Khotyn Fortress - witness the numerous wars and battles. For

ancestors called "Hotin". City Name comes from the verb

Olesky Castle
• Olesky Castle is probably the most famous castles, ruins of
birth. More than six centuries he stands on a hill and is a
witness and participant of many events that forever entered the
history. Olesky castle first mentioned in written sources dated
1327 year. Location of the castle on the border of Lithuania and
Poland led a constant struggle for him, and frequent changes of
owners. Olesko repeatedly became victim of the devastating
attacks of Tatars. Then castle is not a defensive structure and
residence turned into a magnate families: Danilovich, then
Sobieski, Zhuvuskyh.
