 There are three basic notes that you need
to know. They are…

4. The Whole Note
 The whole note is held for four steady
beats. When you start playing, count to
four in your head.

5. The Half Note
 The half note is held for two steady beats.
When you start playing, count to two in
your head.

 The quarter note is held for one steady
beat. When you start playing, count to
one in your head.
