French «Grandes Écoles» are a distinctive element of
the French higher education system which parallels the
classical university system.
«Grandes Écoles» are smaller in size than universities and
recruit their students through very selective processes.
Ever since their creation, Engineering «Grandes Écoles»
have stood at the forefront of technological and scientific
developments in their field and have trained a majority
of the engineers who hold top positions in French and
international companies.
“Being an Eistien is to share the life of a Computer
Technology and Mathematics Engineering School where
three classes of Student Engineers and integrated
preparatory classes rub elbows and combine their values,
knowledge and activities.
- Ethics, Solidarity, Professionalism, Openness –
Our charter promotes personal development and
professional well-being.
The personalized support and follow-up of each student
by the teaching staff and administration helps to fulfill this
goal. Nobody is left behind. Being an Eistien is a way of being
and acting which surpasses professional competencies. It
is earning freedom. Freedom to choose. Freedom to choose
a career path. Freedom in the strength of the mind.”
Nesim FINTZ, Dean and founder
MORE THAN A QUARTER OF A CENTURY OF SUCCESS
Founded in 1983, EISTI is a private school (non-profit-making association) which has been recognized by the State and
accredited by the national accreditation Board (“Commission du Titre d’Ingénieur” CTI).
In twenty seven years, EISTI has graduated more than 2 800 engineers and has sealed its reputation as a leading “Grande
Ecole” and has become a key player for professionals in the field of Information Technology and Mathematics.
Because of the student selection process and of the very high quality of the curriculum, the «Diplôme d’Ingénieur» is one
of the most prestigious degrees in France protected by law and submitted to strict government supervision.
The curriculum combines a strong scientific background with industrial experience that leads to the national Engineering
degree “Diplôme d’Ingénieur” of which the academic level is that of a Master of Science in Engineering.
STANDARD ISO 9001
In March 2010, after being audited for several months, the EISTI was awarded the Certification ISO 9001
by AFNOR. The school now joins a very select number of higher-education establishments which hold this
world-renowned certificate for the training they offer.

6. INTERNSHIP, ADMISSION, TECHNOLOGY
WORK EXPERIENCE/INTERNSHIP
At EISTI, internships are part of the degree program. This form
of education is common in French companies who entrust the
trainees with real professional tasks and responsibilities.
To obtain an engineering degree from EISTI, the following
internships are compulsory:
• At the end of the second year: a five-month programming and
analysis placement (from May to August).
• In the final year, the internship starts in early April and lasts at
least 6 months.
This final placement is a way for nearly 80 % of students to get
their first job.
EISTI was one of the first schools to include internships in its
curriculum. We have always believed that real life experience and
team work is a natural extension of what students learn in class.
Our professors and internship services will always be able to find
a student-engineer who corresponds to the goals of a company.
EISTI graduates are mainly recruited by large national and
international companies (LOGICA, SOPRA, THALES, DASSAULT,
PSA, SAFRAN, AIRBUS, SOCIETE GENERALE, BNP PARIBAS,
AXA, BRITISH TELECOM, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, EADS, EUROCOPTER,
ACCENTURE, GOLDMAN SACHS, ERNST YOUNG, SAS, RENAULT…)
ADMISSION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
EISTI offers international students a large variety of programmes

7. INTERNATIONAL,
CORPORATE HANDICAPS
A STRONG COMMITMENT
TO INTERNATIONALIZATION
EISTI’s educational project is to train tomorrow’s engineers in an
international and constantly changing environment.
Within the framework of ERASMUS, EISTI was the first French
educational establishment to obtain the Diploma Supplement
label by the Joint European Commission, Council of Europe and
UNESCO. The aim of this document which is attached to the
diploma is to improve international transparency and to facilitate
qualification recognition. The Diploma Supplement describes
the type, level and content of the studies that were successfully
completed.
EISTI’S NETWORK
EISTI is also a member of the network n+i which
brings together 75 French Engineering Schools.
It trains future engineers who desire to work
internationally and facilitates their departure
to integrate a foreign partner university to complete a training
course or for an internship in a research laboratory. This network
also helps foreign students, who have a Bachelor diploma, wishing
to enter a French engineering school.

Studying abroad is a unique opportunity where one actively
participates in the everyday life of another culture and is not
simply be a tourist or observer. Being a student in another
country allows you an opportunity to experience the traditions,
culture, and society from the inside. The International Relations
Office in EISTI welcomes foreign students each semester. They
can come to the IRO whenever they want if they not only need
information about student life or the academic year but also to
achieve administrative tasks.
That is why our International Relations Office organizes a
“Welcome Day”. This day is very useful for foreign students
who need information about the administrative procedures on
arrival (academic calendar, teaching system, school facilities,
etc.). Moreover, the International Relations Office is committed
to be the administrative tutor of each foreign student. Also, each
student has a mentor who is a French student that can answer any
questions about the school life that foreign students could have.

13. TESTIMONIALS ALUMNI
Corrine Guibert – school year 2001,
SOPRA GROUP
The EISTI notably taught how to manage
several projects at the same time, which
enabled me to adapt to all of the services
in which I’ve worked at Axway: RD,
qualification, project support. My good level in English has put
me at an advantage for my projects in Europe and Asia. I work with
engineers who have had many different kinds of training, and I can
see to what extent that of the EISTI is an asset to the company.
I often come back to the school to say hi to my former teachers
and to meet the engineering students who share my experience –
sometimes I will advise them. Being “Eistienne” is for life!
www.sopragroup.com
Arthur Mayrand – school year 2006,
FRANCE TELEVISIONS
President of the group of former students (Cercle des Anciens)
As an engineer in the Innovation and
New Technologies part of the France
Televisions group, I am passionate about
my job and can see my responsibilities
increasing and diversifying every year.
The media is going through a real
revolution at the moment, and the key
to the future is in the mastering of
information technologies. Playing a part
in this is a really exciting professional
adventure. I still feel very attached to the school, I go back often
to advise the new intakes, or to take part in meetings with Nesim
and the board of directors. I was president of ATILLA, one of the
big student groups – I made friends there and built a network
which is both loyal and relaxed. Being Eistien, it’s really a way of
thinking, acting and being – something which will influence you
throughout your life.
www.francetelevision.fr
Alexandre Prognon – school year 2007,
CAP GEMINI
Coming from the first year of graduates
from our campus in Pau, I’m lucky
enough to work in the magnificent
South-West region of France, at the heart of the company in
which I did my end-of-studies internship! I am the technical
manager of CAP GEMINI’s client base, and no project or mission
is ever the same. It’s both a practical and technical profession,
which studying at the EISTI allowed me to master, thanks to its
highly specialized teaching in the domain of internet information
modelling. To live and work in the country whilst doing what I love
in a European-wide recognised company is a luxury I am fully
aware of and one the EISTI is no stranger to – quite the opposite!
www.capgemini.com
Sebastien Jarry – school year 2004, BULL
At the heart of BULL, I work as an
analytical engineering developer in the
health sector. The EISTI ensures that
its training is up-to-date with current
technologies. My time at the school also allowed me to work on
my people skills, which is a big asset in the business world. I have
great memories of the EISTI, where I was, incidentally, elected
president of the Students’ Union!
www.bull.com
Christèle Gauthier – school year 1988,
BNP PARIBAS
“I am in charge of the Western
European and American division of
BNP Paribas’ worldwide maritime
financing. I have a daily need and use
for the open-mindedness which was
and is taught at the EISTI. The school’s
way of working has greatly helped me
in my professional development. A
combination of individual talent and
great team-work skills is essential in
order to reach a certain level of responsibility. I really liked the
atmosphere of good-natured, positive demands which is very
present at the school. The human side as well as the hard-working
demanding side, are perfect complements. The EISTI helps us to
develop character, it nourishes, allows us to dream and gives us
the capacity to make these dreams real. It also leads us down
innovative and creative paths, during and from which we don’t feel
scared to change direction, to dare, to show ourselves as curious
beings. All of this is always very professional. I am very proud to
have studied at the EISTI and to call myself an “Eistienne”.
www.bnpparibas.net
Alain Moustard – school year 1989,
BOUYGUES TELECOM
It’s both what we learn and how we
learn that make EISTI students such
well-appreciated workers. I am the
IT Director at Bouygues Telecom and
lead a team of a thousand people. It’s
a very important responsibility, as IT is
at the heart of this profession – if the
IT stops working, so does the company.
This is why one needs to be able to
rely on oneself, and on others. This
was something that the EISTI taught me passionately. There are
about 20 of us former students working in the Bouygues group,
and we’re a happy little family! A family where we know who we
are and where we come from. I often come back to Cergy to share
about my experience, take part in the information days ... and to
see my teachers and Nesim. It’s a great boost for morale!

14. CAMPUS LIFE
Studying at EISTI is studying at a school where preparatory
class students and engineering students work side by side and
participate in many activities together. For each it is the ideal way
to be part of school life.
There are 23 associations in the 2 campuses that organize many
projects with other “Grandes Ecoles” and Universities.
Annual Gala
