It is mainly based on the culture and
historical background of people living in
a region
While analyzed-cultural environment of
people living in a region.

Culture is the whole complex of distinctive material,
intellectual, emotional, and spiritual features
Culture include not only arts and literature.
It includes life style of a social group, basic
human rights, value system, traditions and beliefs.
Cultural environments may give more important
for gender equality, some other cultures may be
reluctant to accept gender equality.

The famous anthropologist, MARGARET MEAD
People-NEW GUINEA –Gender roles are developed
only on the basis of the biological nature of sexes.
New guinea-TCHAMBULI CULTURE – The role and
functions of women activities that control the economy-
fishing, production of goods.
Developing sexual relations with men-women only take
initiatives.
Men belonging to TCHAMBULI culture-dependent on
women, they often adore themselves with flowers and
jewelry.

Selecting their lifemate, the social pressure

In 1946-japanese constitution revised a set of
laws- granting women all possible rights.
