Globalization. Most products and services are not limited to one specific region of the world; as “software eats the world” and products become digital, they will be applicable to all people, around the globe.
This, of course, means more languages.
More than one million people per day join the internet, for the very first languages. And they expect to be able to find information, socialize, and buy products in their preferred language.
In fact, people are six times more likely to buy your product or service if it’s in their native language (even if they are comfortable with English).
As the old quote goes, “If I am selling to you, I’ll speak your language. If you are selling to me, you better sprechen sie deutsch.”
Mobile. Mobile has, of course, changed everything in the last decade. Importantly, in many parts of the world, mobile is the exclusive way in which users access your brand. And this means more languages necessary to reach those audiences.
Content. We are living in a content tsumani. Content is the fuel for attracting, converting, service, and retaining customers.
Agile. Content is being created in an “agile” fashion -- on a continuous basis, in small batches, with constant iteration.
Cloud. All of which are moving to the cloud.
Without the right process automation, businesses end up paying unnecessary fees for manual processes, and employees are less productive.
This is a huge tax on the organization.
