Samarpan Meditation/Guru Tattva guru Swami Shivkrupanand's Day 2 Q and A session during his birthday celebrations or Chaitanya Mahotsav by Pranav and Krishna Barot
2. Opening by Gurudev:
My Salutations to all pure Souls!!!
After wandering for years, many of my questions and deep spiritual thirst which was present from the childhood
was suddenly satisfied just by “Guru Sanidhya” (proximity of Guru).
Guru’s nature is to distribute everything he has so I would never ask anything. Things that I was supposed to know,
my Guru would tell me, so why would I ask things that I don't need to know?
Himalaya was completely different world with absolutely no thought pollution; However, society is not the same
where you come across many people and mixing and merging of aura naturally happens, so it is very natural to
come across questions.
Today we will have Q&A session which I will try to address based on my own life experiences only since I have not
read any books.
Question:
Gurudev, you have suggested that when someone dies your bodily relation is over with that soul and soul takes
another life with new relations and hence you should not keep pictures of dead relatives. However, in society
when we run into problems sometimes its suggested that it's due to “Pitru Dosha” (karmic debt of ancestors) and
there should be a religious ritual done to remove that debt.
If soul has taken a new life, how this “Pitru Dosha” (karmic debt of ancestors) is possible and how this all works?
Answer:
If you are sad and grieving after loved ones death, we should calm down our mind and light up a small lamp/candle
and pray for that soul’s liberation since soul on a journey mainly requires your prayers.
Prayer is the only thing in your control that can be done for soul’s liberation. Prayer gives you satisfaction that you
did your part and provides sense of detachment from that soul.
Many after-death rituals (For e.g Indian rituals like Barahwa-Terva) emphasizes same fact through religious
ceremony with goal of giving soul a complete detachment from the family. All bodily relations are over after that
and soul should proceed on a further path without any attachment.
Some people keep pictures of dead relatives and keeps remembering them which will take you in the past and make
your left side weak as well as will create hurdles in a path of soul’s further progress forward.
Regarding “Pitru Dosha/Matru Dosha” (karmic debt of ancestors):
You don’t see the same eggshell spots on the babies when they come out of eggshell, Very similarly this dosha
doesn't apply to self-realized people.
Self-realization is a new birth of a soul. Astrological aspects are for normal people and not for self-realized people.
Self-realized person should do regular meditation and do complete surrender to guru, If you don't meditate and
surrender then high bodily feelings will make this dosha affect you.
With Guru, one connects to collectivity which absorbs any type of your problems and reduces pain that you feel by
increasing your tolerance levels.
3. Question:
When kundalini is awakened, would you lose away your energy from your feet as you come in contact with
ground? Ancient scriptures talk about clearing and cleaning your own chakras, how long does it take to clear all
chakras?
Answer:
Parramatta is everywhere (Supreme soul/God is omnipresent), within you and me. It's just that, I trust that fact with
full confidence whereas you have not reached to that level.
Guru is the present form of that supreme soul in current times. It's not guru’s body but its guru’s soul which is
connected and merged with supreme soul.
When kundalini awakens, we should sit on the ground.
In stage1, all bodily problems and faults are sucked away by earth through “Muladhar Chakra” as you sit on the
ground.
Earth is our mother and a natural medium provided by nature for us to remove our negative energy. Lot of our
existing problems and diseases are not going away since we have lost the contact to the earth in this modern life. In
our daily life our feet don't touch the ground at all.
Accumulated stress has no way to go out without connection with ground. So, find ways to connect to mother earth
to remove your negativity.
In stage2, once you become 100% pure with no negativity left in you, one should cut off contact with ground to
conserve the energy originating within you.
Nature of earth is to absorb whatever you have including good as well as bad things. So, until certain stage you need
to be connected with the ground and after that one should be disconnected from the ground.
That's the reason why ancient saints used to use special asanas (“Mrugcharma”) to sit on and create isolation with
earth.
Close to big events like “Guru Poornima” and “Chaitanya Mahotsav” even I also start wearing wooden sandals to
conserve all my energy for the event. Rest of the days when I am around normal people I continue to stay connected
with ground.
For second question,
To cross each chakra, it takes about 7 to 9 years when done at bodily level. But if you connect to guru through your
soul then you get that same state as your Guru.
Another easy way to gain that state from guru is to connect with him through love but only condition is that love
needs to be soulful and selfless. Guru’s soul connects your soul to many souls around the world.
Guru's soulful and selfless love to every human being is the only power capable of providing self-realization through
video shibir.
Connecting with guru is the fastest way to make spiritual progress.
4. Question:
What is the reality of Paramatma (Supreme Soul/God)? What Paramatma wants from us?
I also have fearful feelings. Please guide on how to make spiritual progress.
Answer:
From early childhood I used to wonder about Paramatma and learned that it is one, but it gets worshiped by
different people in a variety of forms. I also learned that Paramatma is eternal so it can't be in any bodily form since
body isn't eternal.
After searching for a very long time and following all sorts of recommended religious rituals also, I failed to find that
God and then I just started praying as only means left to find that Lord.
Prayer led me to my guru who gave me self-realization and divine experience/understanding that God is nowhere
outside but it's within me.
This experience made me believe my guru is my God since he's the one showed me the path to find that supreme
soul. Thereafter I made all of my spiritual progress just by considering that alive person as God and keeping my
whole attention to the lotus feet of my guru throughout my whole life.
Think about water pipeline network in a city where one can feel and experience water flowing through those big
pipes but cannot really drink that water, one can only drink that water through the outlet of those pipes in the form
of a small tap in your house.
Same way, supreme consciousness is a real God but whatever medium it has chosen to reach me is my God.
Answer to the second question,
Paramatma doesn't want anything, it's us who should wish for our spiritual progress and make real effort.
We'll have to merge ourselves into supreme consciousness by meditating regularly.
Easiest medium to make spiritual progress is to surrender yourself to your guru. Surrendering yourself means look at
every situation in a positive way and always stay in present moment which is very difficult to achieve in current
time. Thinking about past leads you to future worries automatically and that wastes lot of your energy.
Meditation means to stay in present moment, and anyone could make spiritual progress by just truly believing that
your guru is your God.
Question:
Swamiji, at early age of about 4-5 years old your soul was reminding you that you are holy soul and pure soul.
Why doesn’t our soul remind us spiritual progress of our past life? If we are reminded similarly, we also could
have been able to achieve moksha (state to be free from cycle of rebirth impelled by the law of karma).
Answer:
All of this depends on purity of your soul.
Spiritual knowledge or progress from past life also cannot help you give moksha. You must liberate yourself from
spiritual knowledge as well. My gurus from Himalaya also had to transfer their knowledge into me in order to
liberate their soul and achieve the state of moksha.
5. Even though distributing my knowledge nonstop, it seems to be never ending. It's almost impossible to empty
myself within the lifetime.
So, in order to relieve myself from all that spiritual knowledge in this lifetime, I chose to transfer all that knowledge
in “mangal moorti” (live energy statues) through concentration of life force. It's been 15 “mangal moorti” (live
energy statues) prepared so far but all that spiritual knowledge still hasn't been emptied completely.
Given the amount of spiritual knowledge and strong will power/goal of distribution, my soul remembered and kept
reminding me of that goal.
If you come across some holy and pure soul, your soul would also remember and remind you.
People tend to make same mistakes that they have done in past life and having knowledge of that I try to warn them
within my boundaries and limits.
Don't worry about remembering past life, stay in the present moment, focus on meditation and free yourself from
karmic circle of life and death.
Question:
Gurudev, when “Granth” (sacred scripture/book) related to Aura will be completed and please provide more
details about this book ?
Answer:
Book has been started but with theory this book also requires a lot of practical understanding.
There is an ancient scripture called “Bhrugu Samhita” which teaches you on how to read birth chart or horoscope
based on your birth chart. This scripture tells you about the past life of a person and hence provides a window into
your future. Aura book will be similar to that but based on your aura.
Our body has seven chakras within us and there are seven more chakras above that. Today, technology allows you
to scan your chakras and study them.
When you see more than one chakras are affected, generally they are not affected together, One of them is
generally affected first and then it starts to impact other chakras.
So, machine will show you affected chakras only but this book will provide root cause understanding of those
various combinations of affected chakras.
All these combinations will be in thousands and will require great research and effort. This also requires me to be in
high meditative state for long time.
Based on so far experiences during this study, I learned that I see one more person connected with every person I
studied. After ruling out any personal attachment or influence of spirit on a person, I reached to the conclusion that
I see past life as a second person attached to every person. Past life continues to be a bigger influencer of your
present life and contributor to present life mistakes.
Prayer is the strong medium to help big, unique and novel task like this. Please pray for completion of this scripture.
6. Question:
Since future depends on your karma, what is the best way to live life? What type of karma one should do to
ensure proper spiritual progress?
Answer:
It is true that you will have to live with and enjoy or suffer consequences of whatever good or bad karma you have
done or brought from past life.
Even good karma cannot liberate your soul since you must relieve them also.
Look at my example, I gathered so much spiritual knowledge in my past life that I had to take another birth to
distribute all that in this life. Liberation of soul means you will have to free yourself from all your good and bad
deeds.
Karma chakra is very deep cycle, where trying to relieve past life karma one ends up creating new karma and never
gets out of that cycle. You will have to reach karma free state in your present life to free your soul.
Surrendering yourself to guru and collectivity is the only easy way to attain that karma free state known as moksha
during your present lifetime while living.
Merging self into collectivity, bad karma stops happening, it releases your ego as ‘I’ and positive/good deeds done
due to positive aura is also surrendered to ‘paramatma’ (supreme soul) and you're not bound to any karma
anymore.
With no karma bindings, your soul receives liberation from cycle of rebirth as soon as one dies.
Question:
What is the difference between ego and pride? I try to speak truth and support facts but always get called
arrogant because of that behavior. I get disturbed and get into trouble knowing people who doesn't support truth
or facts. Please guide me.
Answer:
There is a very fine line between pride and ego and one should be very conscious about that.
Pride in a way is good because you are motivating your body to do good things and it helps you generate positive
energy.
Pride means it's only about you and no one should have problem with it whereas other people do get impacted by
your ego.
Every person has different thinking, and one should not create expectations from other people. When you start
expecting that other people think, act or follow your way, you are crossing that fine line from pride to ego. When
people start calling you out means you did somewhere cross that line.
Don't carry burden of your past experiences. Donate your bad past to me and I will give you bright future.
Stay in present moment!!! Don't expect other people to be like you!!!
Don't try to change or improve or understand the world, rather change, improve and understand yourself and world
will change.
7. Question:
Gurudev, With meditation I'm seeing lots of good changes in my life and it feels difficult to stay in society, how to
balance spiritual life and social life?
Answer:
It is a very common problem for many seekers walking on this path.
First step of spiritual progress is self-realization, and you will start seeing your own faults because they are closest to
you. When you start seeing your faults, it will help you get rid of them.
When you get a habit of listening to positive things, you will receive positive energy and only seek same everywhere.
This will naturally start pulling you away from negative people and negative discussions.
As you learn to make a difference between positive and negative people and start going away from negative people,
you will automatically find positive people around you.
Nature accepts everyone, good people as well as bad people, and so do I. So, it's completely up to us on what type
of people that we want to be associated with.
When you start getting mature in spiritual path, you will start accepting everyone and whole society as is. When you
reach to a certain state in spiritual path you will stop paying attention to people, even while dealing with everyone
in society you will always stay introvert.
It's a practice and only comes with time. Even though you are around negativity or negative people, you will not get
affected as long as your attention is on the positive energy.
Only way to adjust yourself in the society is to stay outside with your body but always keep your attention inside.
Question:
Why do we face challenges even though we don't think negative about others whereas other people seem to be
unaffected even though they think negative about others?
Answer:
Even though you feel that in present situation, that's not really true.
You feel that there's nothing good happening to you even though you are well-wisher to everyone but there are
certainly positive things happening to you in a broader scheme of things and results of which you will see in long
run.
There's a saying that in God's home, there is delay but no denial. So, please trust that supreme consciousness and
you will see benefit of your positive thinking for other people.
What you feel is just a temporary feeling. Don't think too much and come out of inferior feelings.
To be successful in society, you should have pride on yourself just for what you are. Always listen to your inner
voice coming from your soul and don't be scared too much. Don't do something under the influence of people
around you.
Ordinary person generally lives under the influence of body whereas yogi always lives under the influence of own
soul.
8. Every thought of yours, takes you either outwards or inwards. One negative thought can kick you out of very good
introvert state which was achieved after long time and effort.
It's very easy to fall from mountain whereas it's difficult to climb, same way it's very hard to think about positive
things and very easy to think negative.
Also keep in mind that both positive and negative thoughts waste your energy so it's always best to try to avoid
thinking and constant assessment of situations.
Question:
Gurudev, in your book “Samarpan Yog of Himalaya” Part 4&5, you have provided very beautiful narration of your
interactions with Jain saints. An incredibly pure vibe of that place and conversation can be felt through narration
as well as picturization in part 5. It is so attractive that it feels like life isn’t complete without seeing that place. It
won’t be possible for us to visit that place physically but if you feel it’s right and if it’s appropriate for us to see,
can you please take us to that place through your “Chitta” (travel through your attention). Also, it would be
pleasure if you can say few words about that journey.
Answer:
In north-eastern hilly areas of India, people recognize everyone in two categories, one is people (themselves) from
mountains and another category is people (you) from flat land. No matter how much different categorization we
have for ourselves based on states, regions and language but there are only those two categories for them.
Similarly, Jain sages living in in those Himalayan mountains also say that there are only two types of Jain Sages, one
is themselves who left society and living in mountains and another type is saints who all are living and roaming in
the society.
Mountain sages call society a coal mine, it will color your cloths black regardless of its original color. Similarly, Jain
saints from different branches of Jain religion living in a society should have realization that they are all same. Jain
sages I met in Himalaya had a strong wish about that concept.
They used to say that Jain religion is based on meditation and divine experiences but in today's world those original
values are lost, and they had a strong wish that those values come back in Jain religion.
They inspired me to meet all those Jain saints living in a society and teach them meditation, once they do meditation
and feel those divine experiences, they will realize those fundamental values of their own religion and it will become
mainstream.
When they felt the time was right, they are the ones who inspired me to write about those Himalayan incidents.
During 45 days of my deep meditation period, they made me write all of that. Except writing, I have no contribution
from my body in all this since it's purely a knowledge coming from soul to soul.
I have not read any books and I have no knowledge of Jain religion but since I stayed with those Jain saints fully
surrendered, knowledge that they had was automatically transferred into me.
Guru has no control over his knowledge, it's a natural process and if you are fully surrendered to guru then all that
knowledge will automatically get transferred to you. This is not a knowledge that you get from the books but it's
purely a knowledge coming from soul.
Area of soul knowledge is extremely deep, and once you start going inside, you'll go deeper and deeper.
9. You continue your practice and meditation regularly without any expectations and I will make sure that you
experience what you have asked for. You first reach to that state which is needed to have that Himalayan
experience and then I will take you there.
Sometimes I think that we have no role to play after reaching to Himalaya, but we must work hard and make
ourselves pure and holy enough to reach Himalaya because Himalaya is full of virtual compunds protected by aura
of different Gurus and it's not easy to cross that, so it is very important for us to make ourselves capable first. Once
you reach there, their aura automatically gives you same thoughtlessness state that they are in.
It's a one-way trip, once you reach there you don't have any thought of returning back to society. I was also sent
otherwise I would have never come back.
I and all those Himalayan sages wish that every person in this world reach to that stage where their inner knowledge
and religion awakens. Inner religion is a religion of soul and humanism, and it will make everyone feel equal.
Concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (World Is One Family) is already coming to reality through this path of
spirituality, Yog and Samarpan Meditaion as you can see many pious and holy souls around the world is connected
and I wish that flow of this positive energy reaches to everyone and provide everyone that divine experience.
So lastly, I just want to say that you can go anywhere through your Chitta. If I can go then anyone can, so please
practice meditation regularly, make yourself capable by reaching to that meditative state and then you can go
anywhere you like.
Closing Remarks:
Today I tried to address all questions based on my own life experiences only so it's not necessary that you will like all
the answers so please consider the ones you like and disregard anything else.
