Two years after the first contract JBN PLC
was awarded to build several new buildings
and infrastructure facilities on the extended
area of 250,000m² at the Government House
Complex.
The projects in second phase consisted the
construction of one duplex, two single and
one VIP guest house with a total of approx.
2,000m² GFA, as well as the erection of
one gate house and a banquet hall for
500 guests with approx. 2,500m² GFA. To
support all these buildings, a technical area
including generator house with three 11kV
generators with a continuous power rating
of approx. 1500 kVA, water treatment plant
with daily water consumption of 250 m3/h
and hourly peak water consumption of 10.5
m3/h as well as a sewage treatment plant
as a Sequencing batch reactor (SBR) type
designed for more than 714 persons were
included in the scope of works.
The infrastructure and landscaping works
for the whole area were part of the contract,
providing access roads, different parking
areas, and walkways. Pipe connections
were created between the facilties and the
technical area.
To enable access to the banquet hall a
boulevard of 2x 6m broad lanes was built.
In addition, infrastructure works also
include the construction of pavements, the
utility system that comprises water supply,
sewage, storm water, an ekectrical duct
system and other relevant services to the
building. Finally, a parking area was build for
around 600 cars, a wall of 2,400m length
surround. the complete Government House
Complex was put in place.
The command center of the CCTV camera
system is located in the Banquet Hall. From
here is it possible to navigate the movable
cameras to the desirable places.
The construction works started in March
2010 and were completed within 19 months
in September 2011
