2. DATA COMMUNICATION

Analog and digital signals are data communication
signals. These are used for transmiting information
(such as any audio or video), through electronic signals.
In digital technology, translation of information is into
binary format (either 0 or 1) and information is
translated into electric pulses of varying amplitude in
analog technology.
3. ANALOG SIGNAL
An Analog signal is any continuous signal.
The analog signals were used in many systems to
produce signals to carry information.
These signals are continuous in both values and
time.
The use of analog signals has been declined with
the arrival of digital signals.
In short, to understand the analog signals – all
signals that are natural or comes naturally are
analog signals.

6. DIGITAL SIGNAL
A digital signal uses discrete (discontinuous)
signal.
These are not continuous but signals are discrete in
value and time.
These signals are represented by binary numbers
and consist of different voltage values.
Although digital representations are discrete, the
information represented can be either discrete,
such as numbers or letters, or continuous, such as
sounds, images, and other measurements of
continuous systems.

Analog signal is a
continuous signal
which represents
physical
measurements.
Digital signals are
discrete (or
discontinuos) time
signals generated by
digital modulation.

More likely to get
affected reducing
accuracy
Less affected since
noise response are
analog in nature
