8. The Future
• Our organization deeply values the services that the New Orleans
City Park offers to our community. The park offers a beautiful venue
for all members of the New Orleans community to engage with one
another to connect and better each other through positive
interaction. Further, the volunteer services department of the
Friends of City Park help many in our community feel personally
connected to the City by organizing and hosting community service
events. Cub Scouts, high schools, church groups, and corporate
citizens alike are all given the opportunity to pitch in and help to
beautify our City. The personal connection to the park that these
volunteer service events provide is one reason that the park is so
special to so many in our community.
• Our yearly donation and volunteer service effort helps to support all
of this in one small way. We’d like to continue this, and further, we’d
like to thank City Park for making our community a nicer place to live
for every New Orleanean.
