Rowan Prince and Kimberly Straight fell in love and started a family together. They had a daughter, Blaire, who was selected as the "bad apple" for the challenge. Kimberly became pregnant again with their second child. Though their home was small and money was tight, Rowan and Kimberly were a loving couple focused on their growing family.
2. So after my computer ate my last OWBC (still not happy about that), I decided to try
again. This time I took a bonus I’ve NEVER played before - the Freetime bonus. I’m
also playing the Base Game & Apartment Life bonuses.
As for mini challenges, I’ve picked a few – Boolprop Naming, Family Scrapbook, One
Bad Apple, Witchy Good Time, Boolprop Clubhouse & MOAR aliens. And the super
mini-challenge of Monster Mash.
Let’s get started!
3. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Rowan Prince. He’s a self-acclaimed bad boy but he’s
actually a softie at heart – he’s a family sim who wants six grandkids, for crying out
loud!
He also has a personality of 5/8/6/3/3
4. See how happy he is to be here? He has no idea what’s coming his way.
5. Behold! Rowan’s box of a home. Most of my starter homes look like this, actually, just
with different windows and décor. It’s an 8x6 box in case you were wondering.
Eventually, it’ll look nice. Or that’s the plan!
This wonderful architecture has left Rowan with two hundred quid in his pocket. No
gypsy dating for him!
6. Rowan heads inside and promptly discovers his favourite thing to do is music and
dance, which saves me a lot of hassle of trying to find that out later. Now all I have to
do is max his enthusiasm for it!
To be honest, he doesn’t look like he’s enjoying dancing that much.
7. Ever since I installed clean templates, my welcome wagons have consisted of one sim.
So here’s Kimberly Straight, the one member of Rowan’s welcome wagon.
They sort of match, which is pretty cool!
8. ACR decided that these two should be together. Or maybe Kimberly just desperately
wanted to score her first kiss. I don’t know.
But I’m not making any decisions yet. Let’s send Rowan out to see what other sims
are about.
9. Rowan ends up at Doc Alan’s Hangout (I have no idea who Doc Alan is, but his
hangout is pretty neat), and chats to the only female in the room - the bar maid.
“Can you quit trying to flirt with me for just two seconds? This customers needs his
drink.”
“I ordered it an hour ago! This is ridiculous!”
10. Rowan was searching for a wife, or maybe a witch because that needs to be done at
some point too, but all he found were odd townies.
I’m still in love with the mod that lets townies have facial hair. I mean, look at this guy!
11. Eventually, Rowan sat down for hotdogs and found the only girl on the lot.
“Jeez, am I glad to see you.”
“Because I’m female, right? Ugh.”
“Hey, don’t judge my motives too quickly! I might just be your Prince Charming!”
12. “Where are you going?”
“Anywhere but here.”
“You haven’t finished your hot dog.”
“I suddenly lost my appetite.”
13. I had a quick look around after Hot Dog Girl left, but the only other lady on the lot was
Tiffany here, who was trying to fit in with the youngsters.
“I’m doing a pretty good job!”
Rowan was exhausted, so the witch-and-wife hunt ended here, and he went home.
14. A day passed without much happening when Kimberly just happened to be walking
by. Somehow, she’s already good friends with Rowan, so she was invited in and the
pair automatically picked things up where they left off.
So I sent them on a witch hunt together.
15. “Is that my founder out on the town in his pyjamas?”
Rowan didn’t bother to get dressed – it’s late, who’s even going to be about?
16. I think we can safely say the wife hunt has ended. It looks like Rowan’s head-over-
heels for the first woman he met.
And she has some interesting genetics, too. I approve of this match! Plus they made it
themselves, that’s always really sweet.
17. Somehow, Rowan was fully dressed by the time he got home with Kimberly, and I’m
not sure how it happened.
Anyway, he asked her to move in. They really are perfect together.
18. “I think we can make this work, Rowan. I really like you.”
“I really like you, too.”
Kimberly Straight moved in with $5000, and has a personality of 5/3/7/3/7. She’s a
knowledge sim.
19. “You know, if we’re going to live together, I think we may have to invest in a sofa.”
“What’s wrong with my arm chair?”
“Nothing. It’s just, I like sitting down too, you know?”
20. They’re almost broke but they’re also almost in love, so I can live with that.
They make a really sweet couple if you ask me. (Hint: don’t ask me, I’m biased)
21. The next day, and I’m not really convinced Rowan’s favourite thing is music and
dance.
“IT IS.”
He looks furious with his violin.
22. It turned out that Kim’s OTH was tinkering, which is one of the ones I struggle with.
Do I just have her read mechanical books all day?
Well, instead, I bought her the junk car. That should work. Plus they sell for a nifty
amount, too.
23. “Mr Prince? News of your angry violin playing has reached us!”
“Did I leave the door unlocked?”
“Please don’t call the cops. I just want to invite you to our exclusive club we invite
almost anyone to.”
24. “So then I put her outside, and this time, I made sure I locked the door.”
“Good idea. I think I love you, Rowan.”
“I love you, too, Kim. That gives me another good idea!”
26. After a lullaby, Rowan tried to make dinner for himself and his beautiful girlfriend.
Only he didn’t succeed.
Fun fact, this is the first kitchen fire I’ve had in quite some time.
27. “I take it this means the spaghetti is ruined.”
28. Rowan’s romantic gesture of a burnt dinner didn’t go down too well with Kimberly.
That said, we all know there could be other causes.
29. This is also how I learnt that pregnant sims should not fix cars. It tanked Kim’s motives
and she ended up in bed for hours.
Also, it’s probably not a good idea to mess around with engines while in your pants.
30. Later on, Kim was feeling well enough to stand up, which is great because Rowan had
rolled the want to sweep her off her feet.
“Kim, will you do me the honour of being my wife?”
“GASP!”
31. She said yes. Like any of you expected her to say no.
Also, I was a bad simmer and failed to get a picture of them actually tying the knot. I
guess I zoned out while they did that. Or got distracted by something.
Enough excuses. Kimberly Straight is now Kimberly Prince.
32. “GASP! Being pregnant ruined my hair!”
I’ll fix that. But yay for baby “B” being on the way!
33. “This is exciting! We’re going to be parents! I love you!”
They’re really sweet together. Constantly.
34. Um, so yeah. I hate those “I didn’t take pictures because-” but I truly didn’t think
anyone wanted to see pictures of Kim sleeping, or Rowan playing the violin
constantly.
So here comes the baby!
35. It’s a girl! And our bad apple!
This is Blaire. She has her dad’s eyes, and her mum’s colouring.
36. Another reason why there are no pictures of Kim’s pregnancy – I had her fixing the car
whenever she was awake.
Look! It’s finished! And sold for just over $5000 I think.
37. The same day, Rowan maxed out his enthusiasm for music and dance, which means I
can stop him from constantly playing the violin now.
38. He put the creativity points to good use, though, and began the portraits we need for
the Family Scrapbook mini-challenge.
39. Meanwhile, I had Kim start on the car. They need the money!
“Didn’t I just fix this this morning?”
40. The next day I remembered I was supposed to be on the witch hunt still, and Rowan
left the two girls in his life sleeping while he headed out.
And met Bill Siew on the first lot we went on. Jeez, that was easy.
41. “You’re the first one to approach me in awhile. People are put off by the green
sparkles and black coat, you see.”
“But you’re so handsome.”
“Apparently evil warlocks aren’t handsome.”
42. I disagree. He’s the most adorable evil warlock I’ve seen.
Anyway, Rowan befriended the Handsome Warlock and headed home for Blaire’s
birthday.
43. By the way, this is what the Prince family’s box looks like now. The fixed up car paid
for most of it, but there’s a lot of work that still needs doing inside.
Still, I’m quite happy with how it’s turning out.
46. This is usually the point where I’d give you her stats, but I can’t click on Blaire’s
thumbnail at all as per the bad apple challenge rules. She has to grow up without any
input from me.

47. To be honest, I’m sure she’ll be fine. I’m pretty sure Rowan’s aspiration is high enough
for smart milk. That said, I can’t remember if aspiration rewards are allowed.
I’ll have to double check the rules.
