The process is n-tiered fully automated in which through a client tool (JAVA) based system a shared list is obtained and parsed by using Perl and stored in the Oracle tables and various cron jobs invoke the procedures to create the usage and cost xmls, which are sent to the EPA’s website through the client tool. This system takes care of giving commissions to agents of Pacific Bell for reaching out to the consumers, business /residential. ADCIS is responsible for calculating commissions for external companies that sell SBC products and services. The compensation plans that ADCIS supports are continually changing to address competition and support new product launches for SBC. This system is called ADCIS2 where it will use the same database as ADCIS, but will work as a JAVA application. Involved in all aspects of designing the system. As of 2006, 4 modules had been converted to JAVA from the 10 modules in Powerbuilder. Using IBM Web sphere as the IDE various JAVA classes are constructed and the system is designed from base classes and making it as MDI application. • Worked on Caliber application (JAVA). This application is used in Sales Agency organizations for AT&T to calculate commissions for external agent sales and residuals. The application has two components, a GUI interface and a calculator or engine. The GUI interface allows the user to enter business rules, which are evaluated against service order, residual, and other transactions imported from ADCIS. The calculator or engine evaluates the business rules to determine how the commissions are to be calculated and performs the calculations. The Calculated amounts are then returned to ADCIS for payout. Caliber application is deployed on the AT&T Intranet where it uses JSP’s to help internal managers in tracking and creating new formulas for the next year incentive calculations. • Worked on Sales Tracking Analysis Retrieval System (STARS), a PowerBuilder application. Upgraded the system from Powerbuilder 6.5 to Powerbuilder 10.2.
