2. Linked in is a professional social media site
geared engaging with business connections
3. One great tool in Linked in is
“Recommendations”
This is a place where
employers or clients can
give you reviews
On the home page, click
the Profile Tab, and select
“Recommendations”
4. Here you can request recommendations
from anyone you are connected to.
5. The request form comes in three parts,
First, you choose which job title you would like a
recommendation for.
You will have a drop down menu of jobs if you have had
more than one, as seen above.
6. Second, you select who you would like to send the
request to! The box will autofill, so you can start typing
any one of your linked in connections and their profile
link will pop up!
7. Make this as
easy as possible
because time is
valuable
Write a message with your request. I advise these be
short, and to the point, asking exactly what you want to
be recommended on.
Linked in creates a template for you to start, but it
should always be customized.
8. This an example of a specific
recommendation under the title
“Sue B. Zimmerman Enterprise”
