Appointed in 2005 as the FoundingCEO for the new Trade and Technical SkillsInstitute,created by the Queensland
Government “Queensland Skills Plan”. leading the creation of the overall strategic plan of what is nowthe largestskillsbased
trainingorganisation in thesouthern hemisphere; which now employs over 700 staff and generates $90m+ revenue per year.
In this highly strategic and diverserole, I provided leadership for all elements of business development, strategy planningand
execution, education services and the major capital works development

Led the buildingof the business fromthe ground up, creatingthe largestskillsbased training
organisation in thesouthern hemisphere;
Demonstrated ability to manage the $251mtrainingfacility;
Managed the Institute’s Business Development Strategies and Operational Plans;

Formation of a new trade and technical training organisation which was created through the merger of delivery
teams from five other TAFE Institutes;
Designed and commissioned new building and facilities, establishing new peak industry advisory bodies, a new
senior education management team and led the merger program operations from five different business units;
Managed a dramatic increase in apprenticeship demand and for recruiting new teachers, administration and
