Product Materials refers to any Results Management Suite (RMS 3,
RMS 5) product guides to be used by the customer. Books are located in
the production room/shipping room on the shelves. The books are
organized by product version, 3 and 5, and by product type.
RMS 3
The Product Guides provide information concerning the correct and
proper use of RMS 3. They are not associated with any future releases
of RMS. They contain information to assist the customer with searching
and troubleshooting any problems that may occur during and after
installation.
ABT Repository Manager System Administrator Guide
This guide provides a technical checklist before installation of the RMS
3. It also details the preparations and procedures for installing,
upgrading and configuring the RMS software.
ABT Publisher User Guide
This guide describes all aspects of publishing live project data,
including how to set up users, restrict access to the data, assign
resources to tasks, and manage other project data such as calendars and
billing codes. It also explains how to synchronize our data with the
customer’s project scheduling tool and how to generate reports from the
repository data.
ABT Repository Manager User Guide
This guide describes how to manage the customers company data,
including how to set up users, restrict access to the data, assign
resources to tasks, and manage other project data such as calendars and
billing codes. It also explains how to synchronize the user’s data with
their project scheduling tool, and how to generate reports from the
repository data.

ABT Repository API & Data Model Reference Guide
This guide provides software engineers and database administrators
reference when writing programs that use the system, writing queries on
the system, and managing the system. This guide documents the
repository’s Application Programming Interface (API) and all the
respository tables and fields.
ABT Resource Manager User Guide
This guide provides project managers help when requesting and
accepting resource allocations. Resource managers can use it to find
resources through capacity planning. This guide expands on the
resource allocation abilities offered in the Repository Manager User
guide.
ABT Team Workbench & ABT Connect User Guide
This guide helps with entering and submitting actuals using ABT’s time
capture products, ABT Team and ABT Connect. It explains how to use
timesheets for recording resource use, how to submit timesheets, and
how to approve timesheets. ABT Team uses the customer’s local area
network (LAN) to send timesheets while ABT Connect uses the
customer’s organization’s intranet.
ABT Workbench helps the customer learn how to use ABT’s project
scheduling tool. It also allows a user to create a Work Breakdown
Structure (WBS), assign resources to tasks, and schedule project plans.
CD Installation Guide
This guide provides reference during the installation of the RMS CD.

RMS 5
The Product Guides for RMS 5 Suite offer information on the correct
and proper use and installation of the RMS 5 products. This information
is similar to the RMS 3 except the ABT Team Workbench and ABT

Trax Copier
The TRAX copier is a CD-ROM disk duplicator. It consists of a single
unit with a turntable loader and two internal recordable drives (CD
burners). The loader holds 100 blank CDs while the master disks are
stored on the internal hard drive. You can program the TRAX to burn
copies from the hard drive (on file) or you have the option to “batch”
copy a disk by using it as the copy source without installing the
information on the hard drive. The TRAX can be programmed to burn
disks before you leave for the day and will duplicate them overnight.
This involves detailed operational instructions which must be taught in a
practical “hands-on situation” by Scott Baddley, Director of
Productization.
- Production Machinery10
CD Labeler
The CD labeler is a special printer that prints on special (blank) CDs. It
allows you to create a label (picture) for whichever CDs you are burning
in the TRAX copier. These are designed on the Production computer.
Once you design or choose a “label” on file, you then command the
printer to print the quantity you need. The unit is loaded from the top
and the finished product is ejected to the tray underneath.
This unit involves detailed operational instructions which must be
taught by Scott Baddley, Director of Productization.
Rimage Duplicator 11
Rimage Duplicator
The Rimage Duplicator copies the 3.5” Floppy Disks. These disk are
still requested from time to time so we have the ability to fulfill these
orders when they arrive. Some titles are prestocked on the shelves and
are pulled from there when needed. Other titles are duplicated on
demand. We keep all Master Disks on file for future use. When an order
arrives we fullfill it with stock on hand first. Once the disks have been
duplicated the first (# 1) disk must be serialized with the number
provided with the order from Customer Service in NY.
This duplicator also involves detailed operational instructions with a lot
of variables which must be taught “hands-on” by Reg Romano or Scott
Baddley.
- Production Machinery12
The Shrink Wrap Machine
The Shrink Wrapper (S/W) is used for shrink wrapping product,
courseware, and marketing items. The S/W film comes in two sizes:
14”, used to wrap smaller items like books and RMS-kits or comes in
18”, used for larger items like courseware manuals.
The sealer creates a seal by melting the edges of the film around the
product. It is located on the flat horizontal surface, above the pedestal.
The temperature control located need more detail is preset on “High.”
The shrink tunnel is the area where the film shrinks around the product.
It is an oven operating at over 300 degrees Fahrenheit. It has an
adjustable temperature control. Typically, it is preset to a high setting
need more detail to produce a high quality seal, quick.
The tunnel has a baffle on top which controls the direction of the heat
inside. Typically, this remains in a preset position.
is this supposed to be a step process?Once the product is sealed, it is placed
inside the tunnel on a small conveyer belt with rollers. The product is
fed through the tunnel, heated and shrunk, then exits on the other side as
a finished product. It is then ready to be stocked or shipped.
Can we insert a sketch of the shrink wrapper here?
Description of parts
Sealer Arm - the blue frame-like movable part on top of Shrink
Wrapper.
Operating the Shrink Wrapper
To set up shrink wrapper for use:
Turn power on the Shrink Wrapper if necessary. The switch is located
on the left side of the extended blue box, at the front of the machine.
! Check the S/W temperature dial. It should be set on High or Full.
Check the sealer temperature. It should be set at 70 degrees F.
# Check to see if plastic roll is on roller at end of machine. If roller
needs to be refilled, a new roll can be found stored on a shelf in the
production room.
The Shrink Wrap Machine 13
To operate shrink wraper:
Pull enough plastic to cover the product out, allowing for a few inches
extra room on each side. Arrange product inside the prefolded plastic,
under the Sealing Arm.
! Push the sealing arm down, touching the teflon pads and hold for 2 -
3 seconds
Extended contact with Teflon tape will cause burning and smoking.
The sealing arm automatically cuts the plastic for you.
Release the arm. It will automatically reset for the next job once it
springs up and out of the way.
# Place sealed product on the conveyor belt. It will automatically move
into the shrink tunnel and feed out the exit side.
Now the product is ready to be shipped or stocked.

  • 9. The Shrink Wrap Machine 13 To operate shrink wraper: Pull enough plastic to cover the product out, allowing for a few inches extra room on each side. Arrange product inside the prefolded plastic, under the Sealing Arm. ! Push the sealing arm down, touching the teflon pads and hold for 2 - 3 seconds Extended contact with Teflon tape will cause burning and smoking. The sealing arm automatically cuts the plastic for you. Release the arm. It will automatically reset for the next job once it springs up and out of the way. # Place sealed product on the conveyor belt. It will automatically move into the shrink tunnel and feed out the exit side. Now the product is ready to be shipped or stocked.
