Can be attached to the participle. 2. Or placed before the conjugated “Estar”. I am eating it. (talking about apple). Estoy comiéndola. The teacher is teaching us. La maestra nos está enseñado.

- 20. In 1539, King Carlos the V of Spain built Fort San Felipe del Morro in Puerto Rico. After several battles against the English and the Dutch and the Spanish- American War of 1898, El Morro became part of the US Army post and was renamed Fort Brooke. In 1961, US military left the fort and it became a museum. The United Nations declared it a World Heritage Site and is protected by the US National Park Service. Today Fort San Felipe del Morro is one of Puerto Rico’s primary tourist attractions. 2 million people visit each year.

- Add the actual date where it says “la fecha” using banter/self talk.
- Review the direct object pronouns and the indirect objects.
- ¿Dónde vas tú y tu familia en el verano? Tiene la arena para relajarte? ¿Cuando hace mucho calor, qué te gusta hacer en el verano?
- Review subject pronouns and how they refer to subjects, and are not direct object pronouns.
- Direct Object: answers question who or what after verb. What am I eating?.... An apple. DO= Apple. Replacewth DO pronoun
- Ask students to identify which is the Direct Object and the Indirect Object and how they know the difference between the two. Let students make up one sentence using Pres. Progresive tense and a direct Object and then another student will change the DO to the pronoun by saying the sentence with the DO pronoun.
- Remind students Direct Objects take the place of the Direct Object. Practice with the sentences here changing the direct object to the pronoun in the sentence. (in Spanish)
- Notice the direct objects and indirect objects. DO-ask who or what after verb. IO- asks to who or to what after the verb.
- Go over the sentences show examples of how the DO and IO fit in the Sentences. Go over the difference of the DO and IO.
- Have students type the correct sentences in the chat box to see If they are using the correct format. Check for understanding. Sentences in black, have students remove the DO, with the DO pronoun.
- Ask different students questions about going camping and activities to do when there. Have them give other activities to do that are not here in the questions in the chat box. They may use the vocab sheet.

- Allow students to tell in Spanish the answers to the two questions to an amigo. Then have students tell the class the answers.
- Students will make a list of activities to do at each location.Acampar, ir de caminata, tomar el sol, cazar, asar, nadar, nadar, relajarse en la arena, dormir en la tienda de acampar, mirar los peces, tomar un bote, andar en la playa. - Students answer the questions and tell the answers to a partner, and visa versa. Using as much description as they can to describe their answers.In your journals, write about a time you went on vacation as if you are there right now using the present progressive tense. Tell what you took with you and what you are doing there.
