OAP Details
• Provides upgrade and hotfix assistance at no cost to
active maintenance SolarWinds customers who
were/are running an Orion Platform version affected
by SUNBURST or SUPERNOVA
• Leverages professional consulting resources from
trusted SolarWinds Partners experienced with the
Orion Platform and its products
• Services also include update assistance related to the
digital code-signing certificate revoked March 8, 2021

Best Practices
• The SolarWinds environment should not have connectivity
to the internet
• Check your network security
• Make sure you have a layer approach and that SolarWinds can
only communicate on necessary ports
• Use this opportunity to upgrade your SolarWinds server
operating systems, SQL Server® version, and hardware
resources

• Install the latest OS version and SQL Server version
possible to future proof the environment
• Always build on a stable foundation
• If SolarWinds is/was not stable, diagnose the issue before
upgrading the environment
• Change your passwords

stakeholders/users
• Lock your users down
• Disable “Custom Indexing” before running the configuration
wizard
• Evaluate your environment for monitoring gaps

• Stay on top of your upgrades
• If changing the IP addresses of the SolarWinds servers,
make sure to update the Access Control Lists (ACLs) of the
monitored devices before upgrading
