In addition, the effectiveness of the knowledge based processes they adopt & increasingly their connectedness with the knowledge economy will prove crucial to the creation of sustainable competitive advantage .

9. The U.K’s economic success it is said will depend upon its ability to commercialise & profit from research and ideas and to innovate in the service & creative sectors; which in 2005 contributed £60 billion or 7.3 per cent to the U.K’s Gross Value Added .

10. The creative industry is currently growing at twice the rate of the rest of the U.K. economy & MediaCityUK is believed to be fundamental to the U.K.s ambition to become one of the world's creative hubs .

13. My research methodology is based upon a core of social constructivist & post-modernist philosophy, in addition to humanist learning theory & connectivism. My research methods include applications of qualitative surveys, questionnaires, interviews & case studies within a paradigm of grounded theory, action research & scenario planning.
