2. Summary
 This presentation details the findings of a survey that looked at the extent
to which employees are working with mobile devices and consumer-based
applications as well as how the workforce has engaged the IT function to
accommodate its requirements, both for providing Web 2.0 applications
and supporting the wide range of chosen devices.
 The findings are broken down into findings from respondents distributed
across various vertical markets, job roles, company sizes, and locations.

3. Methodology
 SkyDox conducted primary research by preparing an online questionnaire and inviting
35,000 companies to complete it.
 The data sample was based on a number of companies and contacts distributed
across various vertical markets, job roles, company sizes, and locations (divided by the
US or UK, based on HQ location).
 The total number of responses received was 4,199, although partial responses have
been excluded.
 Quantitative data from the survey has been used to generate the graphs within this
report.
 The survey was conducted between April 16th and April 30th, 2012.
 Our analysis augmented an online poll conducted by the Association of Information
and Image Management (AIIM) during a SkyDox webinar on ‘Enhancing Your
Collaborative Ecosystem’.

4. Questions
 The survey consisted of the same four questions asked to all
respondents:
 1. In order to do your job, do you require access to your work documents
from outside of the office?
 2. Do you use your own mobile device or tablet for work?
 3. Are you using a free file sharing platform to store or share corporate
documents?
 4. Does your IT department know you are using these free file share
services for corporate documents?
