The Russian Social-Democratic Union of Youth (RSDUY) was founded in December 2000 by Mikhail Gorbachev and young political activists. Since 2004, RSDUY has been an observer member of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY). RSDUY promotes international cooperation through exchanges with organizations in Germany, Hungary, Finland, and Georgia. RSDUY is also actively involved in Russian politics through organizing protests and working to address issues like racism, xenophobia, and military conscription. The group uses cultural and educational events, as well as street performances and art, to engage youth and spread their social democratic message.
