Customer knowledge center of Deere and Company is using Customer Registry as central repository to store
information regarding the customer of Deere and company. DB2 stored procedures are developed for Customer
Maintenance. This system is developed after studying the existing system, which is in IMS DB/DC and DB2. The new
system is developed to improve the existing system in terms of storing more customer information (Multiple addresses,
multiple communications etc), providing access to Java systems using JDBC driver. Batch application system also
developed to synchronize customer data between internal department’s customer databases. Around 60 DB2 stored
procedures and 15 batch programs are developed for this application. In this project MQ Series concept of message
queuing is used to get data from IMS and DB2 databases.
