Also during my time as administrator I would regularly provide hands on patient cares
within the public health clinic and also home health assessments and admissions with ranges
of ages of 0 to well into their 90’s with a variety of health conditions/ and also health
promotional needs. This included maternal/child health services in which I have an
exceptional passion for. I felt it necessary as with being an administrator to help provide
direct patient care with staff nurses in order to keep up with the continual changes of
healthcare along with maintaining my nursing skills.
When I started as administrator within the county, there was no maternal/child health
program and during my time working there, I worked in coordination with a neighboring
county to start maternal/child health program within Chickasaw County Public Health. I also
worked at monthly WIC (Women Infant Children) and immunization clinics.

Functioned as a Care Plan/Medicare Coordinator. I also acted as interim Director of
Nursing as necessary.
My duties during this time included direct patient care, computerized care planning and
Minimum Data Set entry, ordering of nursing supplies, staff scheduling, communication
with primary providers, and staff over-sight.
Conducted pre-admission assessment to evaluate eligibility to skilled nursing care. Utilized
nursing process to formulate patient care plans. Demonstrated leadership skills with
participating as facilitator in therapy and family care conferences. Provided required patient
assessments to skilled patients in order to evaluate continued Medicare coverage.
