THE CEO SUMMER DRINK SERIES
Mark Cuban, Owner of the Dallas Mavericks
Mark Cuban is a terrifically successful
venture capitalist and nothing if not free with
his opinions. That’s why we’re honoring him
with the Mark Cuban Libre.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 2 shots white rum
• 1 lime
• Coke
Put ice in a highball glass, add rum, and
a big squeeze of fresh lime. Fill with Coke
and garnish with a slice of lime.

Monkey
THE CEO SUMMER DRINK SERIES
LARRY PAGE, CEO of Google
This cocktail, based on a premixed
drink made famous by the Beastie Boys,
celebrates the most anticipated new tech
product ever.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 1 oz. rum
• 1 oz. vodka
• Orange juice
Put ice into a highball glass and add
the vodka and rum. Fill with orange juice,
stir, and serve.

Wallbanger
THE CEO SUMMER DRINK SERIES
Mark ZUCKERBERG, CEO of Facebook
He helped build Facebook into a
powerhouse while still at Harvard, and
this drink is nothing if not likeable.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 3/4 oz. vodka
• 1/4 oz. Galliano
• Orange juice
Take a small glass, fill with ice. Add the
vodka and OJ. Float the Galliano on top.
Garnish with a majorly hacked orange slice.

Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo
Marissa may have shaken things up at Yahoo,
but we suggest a gentle stir for a delicious
Mayerita.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 3 oz. tequila añejo
• 1 oz. Cointreau
• 1 lime
• Salt
Fill a dish with coarse salt. Wet the rim of
a glass with water, dip in salt, and fill with
ice. Add tequila and Cointreau, and then
squeeze in the lime. Stir and serve.

Fashioned

TiM VANDERHOOK, CEO of MySpace
MySpace is back, and this cocktail celebrates
it as one of the first successful hubs for
meeting and greeting online. Making a good
Old Fashioned takes a while, but it’s worth it.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• Rye whiskey
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 sugar cube
Place a sugar cube in the bottom of an
Old Fashioned glass and dash the bitters
over it. Muddle until sugar has a uniform
color. Then add ice and fill with whiskey.
Stir until it tastes delicious (warning, this can
take several minutes or more).

Next time you check in at your favorite bar
on Foursquare, order up a Checks on the
Beach and see where the night takes you.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 2 oz. vodka
• 3/4 oz. peach schnapps
• Cranberry juice
• Pineapple juice
Take a collins (or tall) glass and add ice.
Pour in the vodka and peach schnapps and
fill up with equal parts of cranberry and
pineapple juice.

RICHARD BRANSON, CEO of Virgin Everything
What else for the CEO of one of the world’s
favorite airlines? In case you’re wondering
this cocktail gets its name from its gunmetal
gray color.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 2 shots of gin
• 1/2 shot lemon juice
• 1/2 shot Luxardo marachino
• Splash of crème de violette
Put all items in a shaker with ample ice.
Shake well, then strain into a martini glass.
Garnish with a cherry.

Alaballmer
Slammer

Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft
The Xbox One will be a great way to hang
out with your friends, but so is taking down
a delicious round of Alaballmer Slammers.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 1 oz. Disaronno amaretto
• 1 oz. Southern Comfort
• 1 oz. Sloe Gin
• 2 oz. orange juice
Fill shaker with all the ingredients and
plenty of ice, and then shake vigorously until
your fingers are really cold. Strain into shot
glasses and enjoy with friends.

Martini

TiM COOK, CEO of Apple
Apple deserves nothing but our praise,
and the Apple Martini is one of the very
few cocktails recognized as official by the
International Bartender’s Association.
Well deserved.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 3 oz. vodka
• 1 oz. Calvados
• 1 oz. Cointreau
Put ice in a shaker and then add all of
the ingredients. Stir thoroughly. Strain into
a martini glass and serve.
11. Dell-O
Shots
THE CEO SUMMER DRINK SERIES
Michael Dell, CEO of Dell
Remember the Dell dude with this great
throwback from college. My favorite version
uses cherry gelatin.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• 1 part Jell-O™ of your choice
• 2 parts water
• 2 parts vodka
Boil water and pour Jell-O™ into a bowl.
Add water and stir until dissolved. The stir in
the vodka. Refrigerate until cool but not set.
Pour onto a sheet pan. Refrigerate at least
two hours until Jello is fully set. Cut up and
serve cold.

I come from a tiny, rural town in Washington,
and this drink always brings me back home.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
• A couple of big sloshes of gin
• Tonic water
• Lime
Fill a stemmed mason jar with ice. Pour in
the gin and a squeeze of lime. Fill with tonic
and slosh around. Drop whatever lime you
have left in the glass.
