2. We set in motion in 2012 with an idea to establish something of our own. The
new venture would stand on 2 main principles: satisfaction for the consumers,
and a steady income flow for the owners.
Now, why food business? Food is the foremost and ultimate approach to create
joy and contentment among people. On the other hand, on a business
perspective, this business gives instant return, in terms of product usage and
financial aspects.
Since 2012, there has been no turning back. We opened Café Soi 3 in September
2012, the next venture, Peda Ting Ting in April 2015. The 3rd
venture would start
in March 2016. All these 3 restaurants are situated in prime locations of Dhaka
city.
** Soi3 (Dhanmondi)-
Café Soi 3 is a boutique food joint & juice bar, located at the heart of the
Dhaka city, Dhanmondi, Road #3. The natural and inviting venue, a
structure made out of earth, bamboo & lots of greenery has been
inspired from the bygone era. The outdoor dining area gives one a feel
of nature.
Our dining room provides an intimate, yet casual, dining experience, specializing
in Indian & Continental Cuisine.
Café Soi 3, being a Café still caters a lot of family guests, and is a well known food
joint in Dhanmondi. Guests from other parts of Dhaka city make an effort to come
and visit the place, as well. The place has become famous due to its serene open
ambience, which was one of its kind when it started, and of course its tasty food.
**Peda Ting Ting (Gulshan) –
Peda Ting Ting is a renowned restaurant from Rangamati Bangladesh
that offers delicious Indigenous cuisine of Chakma community to the
local tourists. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Kaptai Lake,
and successfully attracting tourists for last 14 years.
3. Peda Ting Ting now expand its business in Dhaka to represent indigenous Chakma
community and its heritage to the urban city dwellers. Peda Ting Ting Dhaka
would be a single unit; medium-size gallery cafe serving Bangladeshi Indigenous,
continental & Indian cuisine ensuring hygiene factor in every aspect. The cafe is
located at House No. 69, Road 27, Gulshan-1, and Dhaka. It includes an extended
section of gallery to display Indigenous art, handicrafts and boutiques.
Peda Ting Ting holds a different feature, serving authentic Chakma food. The
décor has been set to give a natural feel in line with the food, which is cooked in
Bamboo or Banana Leaf.
**Junction 300 (Bosundhara)-
The new venture is in a very prime location of developing
Dhaka city, i.e. on 300 feet road, behind Bashundhara and
towards Purbachal. This café would cater the young generation
who are explorers.The food concept and product image of
Junction 300 will attract 3 different customer profiles;
The student -- more and more young people have developed healthy eating
habits. Some also go through a "health food phase" while in college.
Curious and open-minded -- Through marketing, publicity, and word-of-
mouth, people will seek out a new experience and learn that nutritious
food can be tasty, fun, convenient, and inexpensive.

**Dinneries (Dhanmondi)
Each venture has been set with different essence and to
accommodate different segments. We develop each project on the
basis of novelty. Besides, the main stream restaurant we have
initiated to do backward supply of restaurants. This gives leverage
to our ongoing projects in terms of cost and availability. And with a growing line
of restaurants the supply segment would tend to be profitable.

Bushra Faruq, holding an MBA in Marketing and
Human Resources, has a work experience of 14
years in the service sector. She has voluntarily retired from Grameenphone as
DGM, Strategy and Planning, Customer Service, in 2013, and is now an effusive
entrepreneur. Bushra had started her career in 2000 after completing her BBA
from North South University. Over the years, she has worked in different sectors
of the Service line holding varied positions. In between she had completed her
MBA from the University of Dhaka.
Bushra over the years has gained know-how not only in the service sector but also
has developed excellent communication skills. Being a debater since College her
presentation skill is admirable. She has a skill for generating new ideas and
dedication to put it in reality, which also proves her excellent management skills.
Her friendly and cooperative characteristic makes her a suitable person to do
business with.
With her knowledge, experience and developed skills, she thrives in her own
business. She is also a consultant in Restaurant management and has already
helped few restaurants to make them a profitable entity again.
A mother of two, Bushra now strives to make her business eminent, as she
believes in proving that women, when given emancipation can create grand
changes to everyday bits and pieces.

Mr. Shahed Hossain is the Managing Director of
Dinneries. After completion of ‘SSC’ and ‘HSC’ Mr.
Shahed obtained BBA in Business Administration
with distinction. With his ingenuity and expertise in
operations, strategic management & marketing skills, expanded the Group’s
business, many folds in all the spheres of Food industry. Mr Shahed have been
working in the facilities Service sector since 2004 as Facilitator of News presenter
& Cabin Crew Training at JobsA1.com and Master of the Ceremony for corporate
events, Trainer for customer service in Grameen Phone Ltd. He runs three
restaurants in Dhaka:

6. The Food Industry Today
During and after 2000, the whole restaurants industry flourished significantly in
Bangladesh. International restaurant chains started opening outlets in our
country. Also, massive development in electronic media introduced a complete
cultural shift for the entire nation and like most other service oriented industries;
restaurants industry also got a major revamp in terms of new consumer
generation, increased spending and improvement in consumer's taste and
preferences. Recent trend has shown tremendous growth in this industry
introducing high end restaurants with specialization in one cuisine and authentic
cuisine specialist to serve even the pickiest consumer from foreign countries. Like
