Hello!
I am M. Hamza Iqbal
Roll no. 29
BsPA 2nd year (Morning)
Course title: Intro to Business Administration
Submitted to Dr. Ammaad
The Google story begins in 1995 at Stanford University.
Larry Page was considering Stanford for grad school
and Sergey Brin, a student there, was assigned to show
him around. By some accounts, they disagreed about
nearly everything during that first meeting, but by the
following year they struck a partnership. Working from
their dorm rooms, they built a search engine that used
links to determine the importance of individual pages on
the World Wide Web. They called this search engine
Backrub.
From
the garage to
the Googleplex
Over the next few years, Google caught the attention of Silicon Valley
investors. In 1998, Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim wrote Larry and Sergey a
check for $100,000 and Google Inc. was officially born. With this investment, they
opened their first office: a garage in suburban Menlo Park, California, owned by
Susan Wojcicki (now CEO of YouTube). Clunky desktop computers, a ping pong
table, and bright blue carpet set the scene for those early days and late nights. (The
tradition of keeping things colorful continues to this day.)

Vission and Mission
Google’s vision statement from the outset was “to provide
access to the world’s information in one click.” Google’s
vission statement is parallel to the company’s mission
statement. "to organize the world's information and make
it universally accessible and useful." It’s mission statement
has four variables, namely, world’s information,
organization, universal accessibility, and usefulness.
Google’s Core Values
Focus on the user.
Focused on providing the best
user experience possible.
Whether They’re designing a
new browser or a new tweak
to the look of the homepage.
Fast is better than
slow.
We know your time is
valuable, so when you’re
seeking an answer on the web
you want it right away–and
we aim to please.
You can be serious
without a suit.
We believe that great,
creative things are more likely
to happen with the right
company culture.
Democracy on the
web works.
Google search works because
it relies on the millions of
individuals posting links on
websites to help determine
which other sites offer content
of value.
Doing one thing
really, really well.
We do search. With one of the
world’s largest research
groups focused exclusively on
solving search problems.
Do the right thing;
don't be evil.
Honesty and integrity in all
Google do, Our business
practices are beyond
reproach. We make money by
doing good things.
Google’s Organizational Structure
Google has a cross-functional organizational
structure, which is technically a matrix
organizational structure, the company’s
organizational structure has three main
characteristics.
1. Function-based
2. Product-based
3. Flatness
Google Revenue

categories:
● Google (the core businesses):
“Search, Ads, Commerce, Maps, YouTube, Apps, Cloud, Android, Chrome, Google
Play as well as hardware products we sell, such as Chromecast, Chromebooks and

● Other Bets (Alphabet’s riskier projects):
“Access/Google Fiber, Calico, Nest, Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences), GV
(formerly Google Ventures), Google Capital, X (formerly Google [X]) and other
initiatives.”

Bringing better technology to the world by
promoting open source.
Benefits For Everyone
Google believes that open source is good for everyone. By
being open and freely available, it enables and encourages
collaboration and the development of technology, solving
real world problems.
We have released
millions of lines of
code under open
source licenses for
others to use.
We believe that a
healthy ecosystem
is important for the
sustainability of
open source for all.
We use thousands
of open source
projects to build
scalable and
reliable products.
2,000 Open Source
Projects and Counting
Google, always used open source to innovate. Free and
open source software has been part of Google's technical
and organizational foundation since the beginning. The
list of projects, Google released and contribute to, is long
and continues to grow.
Android
An operating system for a wide range of devices
Android is an operating system and software stack created for an array
of devices with different form factors, including phones, tablets,
wearables, TV’s, automobiles, and connected devices. The primary
purposes of Android is to create an open platform available for carriers,
OEMs, and developers to make their ideas a reality and to provide a
successful, real-world product that improves the mobile experience of
users.
Chromium is the web browser that Google Chrome is built on. It is
meant to feel lightweight (cognitively and physically) and fast. When
released, it brought a sandbox security model, minimalist user interface,
and tabbed window manager that many other browsers have since
adopted.
Chromium
A safer, faster, and more stable web browser
TensorFlow™ is an open source software library for numerical
computation using data flow graphs. Nodes in the graph represent
mathematical operations, while the graph edges represent the
multidimensional data arrays (tensors) communicated between them.
The flexible architecture allows you to deploy computation to one or
more CPUs or GPUs in a desktop, server, or mobile device with a single
API. TensorFlow was originally developed by researchers and engineers
working on the Google Brain Team within Google’s Machine Intelligence
research organization for the purposes of conducting machine learning
and deep neural networks research, but the system is general enough
to be applicable in a wide variety of other domains as well.
TensorFlow
TensorFlow is a fast, flexible, and scalable open source
machine learning library for research and production
