 It is a skin pouch, outside
abdomen hanging between
thighs. It contains testes.

 It is a muscular tube from
lower end of cauda epididymes

inguinal canal.
 It swells into AMPULLA, and
join duct of seminal vesicle of
own side.
 It pass sperms for ejaculation.

26. EJACULATORY DUCTS
 It is a short duct by union of
vas deferens and duct of
seminal vesicle.
 Both side ducts unite, enter
into prostate and finally open
into urethra.
 It carry semen into urethra.

 It is a cylindrical copulatory
organ of male to deposit
sperm into female vagina.
 It is made of erectile tissues
as two cylindrical CORPORA
CAVERNOSA & one
CORPUS SPONGIOSUM.

29. SEMINAL VESICLES
 These are a pair of convoluted
pouches behind urinary
bladder.
 They secrete a viscous,
yellowish and nutritive fluid.
 It has fructose, vitamins,
mucus and prostaglandins.
 It forms much of semen.

30. PROSTATE GLAND
 It is a hard gland below
urinary bladder.
 Urethra pass through its
central hole.
 It secrete a thin, milky white,
alkaline fluid to nutralize
acidity of semen, urethra and
vagina and increase survival

fertilisation and increase
sperm motility.
 Enlargement of prostate in old
age press urethra and make
urination difficult. It is called

38. SEMEN
It is a viscous alkaline (pH = 7.5)
fluid containing spermatozoa and
secretions of epididymes, seminal
vesicles, prostate and bulbourethral
glands.
In each ejaculatiion, about 2 to 4 ml
of semen is discharged.
It contains about 200 to 350 millions
of sperms or 10 cror per ml of semen.

39. SEMEN cont….
About 60 % of semen is secretion of
seminal vescicles.
Men with less than 4 cror sperm per
ml of semen are sterile. It is less
sperm count and called
oligozoospermia. (Azoospermia = no
sperm in semen).
For normal fertilisation, about 60%
sperms must be of normal shape and
size and 40 % of them be vigorous.

40. SECONDARY MALE
SEX CHARACTER
These are the characters
develops in male at maturity.

Hard voice etc.

41. CONCLUSION
During sexual intercourse
(COITUS), erect penis is inserted
into vagina of female mate. It
include a short period of intense
sexual excitement (ORGASM)
discharging about 2 to 4 ml of
semen into vagina for probable of
fertilisation & pregnancy.
