  • My name is Sarah Kloth, I am the director of Digital strategy at Top Floor, a local digital marketing agency in New Berlin.
     
    So, when I first started to apply to be a speak here, I struggled with what topics I was going to present. I can’t tell you how many times I re-filled out the call for speakers form before submitting. But what I was doing was thinking – thinking about these conferences in a whole. What usually happens? You spend the day listening to great speakers to get super hyped up about marketing and development, etc. You say YES! this is great I’m going go back to work on Monday and conquer the world!... then realty sits in. The weekend comes and you slowly unwind away from everything you heard at the conference. Then Monday rolls around. You might go in and be motivated again – thinking of all the great things you heard at WordCamp. But then you realize – everything I heard was great, but you don’t know where to start or how to actually make those great things happen within your position.
     
    So – I was thinking – how can I both inspire you today as well as provide some actionable insights that you can take to work on Monday and actually put to use. So, I got to thinking again - what do I have to give – and the answer is this. “Tools To Automate and Elevate Your Marketing Efforts” Today I’m going to share with you the collection of tools that I have discovered over my career to both save time as well as improve performance.
  • How many of you feel like this? Content and information overload. In today’s digital world - -There is SOO much going on. Its full of disruptions. So its easy to be bogged down by daily tasks. Its key to have a detailed strategy to make sure you stay on task to reach your goal. Today we are going to learn how to go from this to …..
  • Now when I talk about automation. What am I talking about? I am not talking about the BIG price tag software programs that promise you will get a 500% return on your investment with little effort involved. Did you know the highest benefit in a recent study of marketing automation is Taking repetitive tasks out of marketers hands, allowing focus on new/more exciting projects. And that’s what I’m going to be focusing on here. The little tools that can make a big diference.
  • This. Being able to take a breather and watch as you automate and elevate your marketing efforts. But before we can automate and elevate, we need to know what our plan is.
  • So lets start with your goals. So you have your digital marketing plan put together.
  • You set your goals. But now what? How Will You Implement Your Digital Strategy? More importantly how Will You Ensure You Reach Your Goals? How are you going to have time to keep up with all this and ensure that its all working? The answer… there is an app for that.
  • There is an app for that. Today I’m going to take you through some of those goals and how you can use some of these great plugins and tools to accomplish those goals.

  • Regina george says it best. Don’t obsess over your audience. Don’t be creepy. Don’t be annoying. It’s like makeup – less is more! The customization exists within these tools to make sure that you are not over doing it so much that you turn off your audience.

  • Optimize your workflow as much as you can. Automotate the simpler tasks, so you can make better use of your time with the things that matter. Just because you feel like you arent spending much time on something doesn’t mean it cant be successful. Trust in the tools.

The last thing I want you all to think after this is that you can just go back to work on Monday and add all these tools we talked about to today, and sit back and relax and watch things happen. IF you do just that, you will probably find that you aren’t getting the same type of results we talked about here today.....
