  2. 2. Teaching Learning Process Teaching is a creative and interesting activity for those who like to teach. But it is not a simple activity. It is a combination of art and science. It is also a complex process and requires serious attention. This area is all the more challenging when it comes to teaching CWHI.
  3. 3. Contd. Teaching learning process used in the special school in special. An objective looks at what teachers actually do and need to do when they teach. As the name suggests, it is both, a teacher centered and learner centered activity. The word process indicates step by step sequence of activities.   7. 7. 4Rs: (Referring) Taught concepts have to be referred back constantly (but appropriately ) for days to come after the lesson is over. For example in preschool – word is ‘mixing’ • Mixing the all veg fruits • Mixing the salt, lemon etc Making a Salad • Sums of AdditionIn math • Red and white are ‘mixed’ to make pinkColour making
  8. 8. 4Rs: (ReMinding) This is the similar to referring, but with one difference, referring is more of mental exercise and a littlie elaborate one. Remind would be quick and pointing to or showing the target answer. Example . Teacher shows her tiffin to students and say “Oh God” Look at this, What happened to my pickle? She pointing the chart and writes m____________and expects to child to say, pickle got mixed with vegetable
  9. 9. 4Rs: (Reinforcing) The term reinforcement learnt in psychology should be used in classroom practices. Classroom is the best psychology lab in the world. Teachers must make use of reinforcement as it plays a vital role in learning .
  10. 10. 4Rs: (Rebuilding) In rebuilding, reminding, referring and reinforcing goes on. Teacher may be quite confident that the students know what ‘empty’ is. The concept of empty is built but is has to be rebuilt constantly so that the child can understand or use the following sentences at the appropriate time and situation. Examples:  Let’s empty the school bag to find the pencil  I can not study empty stomach  He failed in the test, his top floor is really empty.  Empty mind is devil’s workshop.  Son’s death made his life empty
