Management, Investment Management and Assets Management from 15th
November’13 till date.
Roles and Responsibilities in HCL for banking client:
- Adhering IFRS for closing the GL on monthly basis in R2R process.
- Finalization of balance sheet and P&L as Legal Entity Controller (LEC).
- IFRS knowledge on IAS 16, IFRS 15, IFRS 09, IFRS 10 – 12, IAS 19, IFRS 2.
- Handling legal entities controller’s role for more than 25 legal entities falls under 7 different countries
(Luxembourg, France, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain and Jersey) in EMEA Region.
- Currently handling 29 team members in Legal Entity Control team for WM, IB & AM processes with
respect to GL closing, month end close, financial review, Sox balance sheet and P&L pack, VAT accruals
and declaration and cash management & reconciliation process, cash settlements (Hard cost
transfer)of intercompany balances.
- Review of variances on daily P&L and Balance Sheet for the variances more than 5% or EUR 50K
whichever is lower.
- Review of Flash expense report on weekly basis for Luxembourg, Germany & France locations
- Monthly review of financial close package (FCP) for final submission of GL close to client.
- Weekly governance and monthly VC discussion with client to obtain feedback.
- Stringent adherence of EMEA control framework, reviewing and improving processes, controls and
systems that impact the financial information related to legal entities.
- Client handling, SLA preparation, governance calls, minutes of meeting, responsibility & ownership
over the work performed within the team, ensuring adherence to timetable and work plan while

- Reviewing the accruals of expenses and income for legal entities during month end close for Journal
Entries more than EUR 50K.
2. - Reviewing the accruals of fund fees income and database of fee income falls under Assets Management
vertical.
- Reviewing of ETF fees plausibility check with custodian bank as per IFRS 15.
- Reviewing of whole sale, institutional and administrative fund fees.
- Deferred tax and CIT review during month end close cyle.
- GCRS (Group Consolidation and Reporting System) sign-off based on which onshore controller of EMEA
region will sign-off the numbers.
- BCS sign-off which allows Balance Sheet control group to substantiate the numbers for group
controlling.
- Working closely with 7 controllers of UBS and assisting them in signing-off financial close pack.
- Successful support in implementation of Single Cost Ledger in SCL.

Process- Financial Reporting & Analysis (CTRFA)
The Financial Reporting and Analysis Group are responsible to act as an oversight body for the IBRD & IDA.
The group is the final authority to review, analyze, prepare and publish the results in Financial Statements for
its Management and stake holders. The CTRFA team is also responsible to analyze the Assets and Liabilities of
IBRD & IDA. The CTRFA team is submitting the following monthly reports to its Management; - Flash Report,
Monthly Financial Report, and Finco report. The team is also responsible to produce following quarterly and
annual reports: - Quarterly condensed MD&A and Financial Statements, Annual MD&A and Financial Statement
under US-GAAP and Audit Committee letter.
Accountabilities with World Bank:-

- Currently handling two business units i.e., Investment and Credits as oversight function for IDA.

- Review the securities trades which are pending at the end of month.
- Review the consistency of Investment portfolio under fair value guidelines approved by Board.
- Review the cash flow movement of Investment NAV related to cash received on investment sold and
check whether cash is properly utilize to disburse the Credits.
- Variance analysis of Investment Trial Balance impacting the Balance Sheet and Income statement of
IDA.
- Preparation of Investment Trial Balance summary for monthly sign off meeting.
- Analysis of Trial Balance and input data received from Business Unit for IDA Credits (Loans & Credits
Business Unit).
- Review the consistency of service charges (75 bps) income on IDA Credits portfolio.
- Review the accrual and non-accrual status of borrowers.
- Review the IDA’s credits and grant commitment, gross and net disbursement with the lending
projections.
- Review the Trial Balance and lending inputs received from Loans BU with the Chart of accounts
maintained in SAP-FI.
- Preparation of Trial Balance summary & analysis for IDA Credits for month end close meeting.
