Summary: Personal goal has been to continuously learn.
Venues for this learning involved my entire surroundings. Realized the
value of adding to my scientific skills and the broadening of those
involving business, finance, human resources, engineering and
education.
As an Adjunct Chemistry Faculty, provided the approach to develop
students’ appreciation and knowledge of the principles of chemistry.
Provided Expert Witness assistance for a Philadelphia law firm. All
cases have resulted in a positive outcome for the client.
Designing a “State of the Art” specialty chemical manufacturing facility
for a NJ-based firm.
Designing a Specialty Chemical manufacturing operation for an
England based client.
As a cosmetic, polyurethanes and sulfonate chemist, studied the
technical information, formulated incessantly and would interact with
production workers and supervisors.
Designed and started up a major manufacturing unit for Witco
Corporation in Amsterdam. A critical aspect of this new process - new
unit endeavor involved teaching this technology to chemists,
engineers, operators, management and customers.
Invented major chemical processes, compiled them into a detailed
operating manual, and held classroom and field instruction pertaining
to their implementations.
Participated in the “Managerial Grid” training, Penn State's Supervisor
Seminar, Juran, Deming, Penn State's "Executive Management
Program," and achieved a MBA with an emphasis on Manpower

Systems, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Self Directed Work Teams.
Chemical Technology involved the bench through the 80,000 liter
reactor, to the 20,000 gallon tank car and onto the engine and/or the
bridge.
Accumulated 145 credits at Kings' College (PA, mostly in science and
math in eight semesters (no summers). GRE of 99.5 percentile and six
job offers within thirty days of graduation.
Pursued a M.S. in Biochemistry at Villanova under the direction of Dr.
John Edwards and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry under the guidance of
Dr. Herman Schauble.
Ph.D. thesis research involved vicinal diiodide synthesis, despite the
existing scientific acceptance that these compounds were too labile to
analyze, even utilizing FT-NMR.
Managed a leveraged management buyout of a 14 acre Chemical
Manufacturing Facility.
Inventions are both beneficial to society and economically practical.
