ICT role in 21st century education and it's challenges.
Evaluation Question 6
1.
2. A mass of technology was used to devise the project and they all list from
embedding to uploading certain aspects so that the project would be
developed to the best of its capability.
Some examples of the technology that was used are:
Photoshop
InDesign
Mobile Phone (iPhone)
Email
Scribd
Slideshare
Emaze
Wideo
Prezi
Zoho Show
3. These products are often mentioned within my diary entries as they were key
products within my construction process of the media product.
Photoshop was used to develop the front cover and contents page, the main
tools that were used were the magnetic lasso tool (used to help manipulate
the images) as well as the “fx” tool in order to draft the colour scheme and
help make the text more dynamic and specialised. Overall, the tools were
quite pleasant to operate as I slowly learnt to use Photoshop efficiently
compared to back in September when I had never used it before.
In contrast, InDesign was used to construct the DPS and the main tools that
were used were the text tool so my article could be inferred over onto the
DPS, However, instead of the “fx” tool to gain a stroke, the fill tool for
InDesign is used in order to gain the stroke for the text on InDesign.
In comparison, I believe Photoshop was easier to use as I’ve had more
experience with the product before the construction stage of the magazine
and InDesign was a brand new experience to me and I faced it with difficulty.
4. Throughout the project, I have always used Email or my iPhone in order to
transfer images to and from college/home, This enables me into working on
the project whilst not being at college.
The Mobile Phone was used in order to confirm and arrange models for the
photos provided within the magazine as well as provide photos for the
Location Recce, Overall the mobile phone is a simplistic device to use as this
device is an everyday use for me.
The Email was used to transfer any work to/from college in order to progress in
the project in more than one environment, It was most efficient during the
construction stage as it helped boost the speed of construction enabling me
to manage my time effectively and cautiously.
Overall, these two examples of technology are very simplistic and easy to use
and I had no struggle operating these compared to InDesign which was
more difficult to manage.
5. These embedding technologies were used to transfer any Microsoft product
such as a PowerPoint Presentation and provides an embed code so it can be
displayed on Blogger.
Scribd is often used in my blog and enables me to present the work I have done
on a PowerPoint for tasks such as displaying the article that was used for my
DPS, The only difficulty I find with Scribd is that it tends to distort the text
and make some of it not appear and requires manipulation beforehand to
make sure it doesn’t tamper with the presentation.
Slideshare has a similar process as Scribd and provides the same enabling as
Scribd. However, unlike Scribd, Slideshare is quite pleasant to work with and
provides little to no difficulty to operate.
Overall, these embedding technologies are quite simple/moderate to use
however it is just manipulating Scribd presentations accurately so the words
won’t be tampered and shifted.
6. Through the project, to show creativity
within my tasks, These
presentational technologies have
enabled me illustrate my ideas and
answers to questions raised during
the project.
Zoho Show was a presentational
technology discovered during the
project in search for a new
presentational device to display
ideas and answers instead of using
Prezi which is a commonly used
technology for displaying work for
students with similar features.
Emaze is another common
presentational tool and enables
PowerPoint Presentations to be
transferred over and enables the
PowerPoint to be visually attractive
than before, Zoho Show has a
similar function to this.
Wideo is slightly different due to the
fact that it is more video structured
and is a very visually attractive
software and enables the use of
music within the background as
well.
Overall, These softwares are very
effective and easy to use and
provide visually efficiently pleasing
presentational skills.
