KEY EXPERIENCE :
Acquired more than thirty five (35) years of experience in Civil Engineering construction field,
of which thirty (30) years in the Middle East (Muscat, Kuwait, Dubai and Saudi Arabia),
working as Resident Engineer / Asst. Resident Engineer and Senior Civil Engineer, in the
Construction Management Team of reputed International Consulting firms for major
Construction Projects. For the past thirty Years I had been principally involved in the
construction supervision team as a senior staff member for major Water/Waste
water/Sewerage, pumping Station Projects. This has required working closely with client and
within the Senior Management Team of the reputed organizations for the successful
implementation of many Prestigious Projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o As a Resident engineer will hold a leadership position with client interest in mind, ensuring
the delivery from the consultant’s point of view, ensure the contractor is working to spec
and within quality guidelines.
o Review and evaluate Shop drawings, construction procedures, , method statements
(quality assurance/quality control plans) and construction schedules.
o Liaise with subordinates for ensuring the quality of materials and workmanship of
contractor on a continuous basis, provide technical assistance to ensure that contractor
is working in accordance with specifications, approved construction drawings and
assure quality objectives are achieved within the area of responsibility.
o Co-oridnate with program Manger / Planning Engineer to review the contract
programme submitted by the contractor and monitor / compare the project progress to
ensure that the works are completed as per the contract requirements - Identify the
delayed activities and inform/ advise the Contractor for necessary rectification
measures and inform Project manger / Client accordingly.Routine works
o Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence, approvals, accuracy & completeness of
records and maintain awareness of contracts financial status - Co-ordiante with PM on
contractual and construction matters- Routine works
o Chair progress meetings, interface meetings with other contracts in the Project area,
interface meetings with various authorities related to project and meetings with Client .

o Prepare progress reports , review change orders, change proposals, contractor claims,
progress payments and advise Client accordingly.Routine works

The Works consist of approximately 1,535 meters of road on
bridges, 440 meters of road on ramps and 2,330 meters of road
in troughs together with works to associated local roads and
junctions. The bulk of the work was to construct the trough
section which will require extensive excavation, dewatering,
temporary excavation support, tension piles and concrete
works. There wer 3 main elevated bridges and several bridges
on troughs, several pedestrian bridges and utility crossings.

CCTV and redesigned. The sewerage network was completely
replaced
Key features of the project include the construction of sewers
to depths of up to 16m in areas of a high water table and the
extensive use of micro tunneling for approximately 17km of
new sewer construction including construction of two pumping
stations.

existing pumping stations were abandoned and two new ones
constructed. The sewerage network was completely
replaced.
