Itâs a 160 KVA 11KV up to 10,000 KVA, 33 KV
Class transformer
ADVANTAGE :
⢠MAINTAINCE FREE , non toxic
⢠Non inflammable ,non hygroscopic
⢠Smaller size
⢠Low noise level
⢠High overload capacity
11. Tap changer
A tap changer is a mechanism in transformer which allows for variable turn ratios to be selected in discrete steps. Transformers with this
mechanism obtain this variable turn ratio by connecting to a number of access points known as taps along either the primary or secondary
winding. These systems usually possess 33 taps (one at centre "Rated" tap and sixteen to increase and decrease the turn ratio) and allow for
Âą10% variation (each step providing 0.625% variation) from the nominal transformer rating which, in turn, allows for stepped voltage regulation
of the output

20. Conclusion
The âTHE NEOTIA UNIVERSITY POWER DISTRIBUTION Report Projectâ has documented Equipment used to
power distribution in the University campus. Current objectives are to 1) continue with analysis of the data
collected and 2) continue to study the operation of power distribution at campus and problems identification .
The ultimate goal of the project is to achieve a knowledge of academic electricity distribution network
