Project: Automatic Work piece Feeding System for Centerless Grinding Machine.
Industry: Indian Tool Manufacturers, Nasik
September 2013 to 30th
Review: The project was undertaken to design an automatic work piece feeding system for CGM
(centre less grinding machine). The system consists of combination of mechanical and
hydraulic component designed and developed as per grinding machine specification
with particular reference to the grinding of various drills as per manufacturing
This system eliminates fatigue to operator due to repetitive work as well as led to cycle
time reduction with increase In the productivity and with more accuracy.
The objective of switching over to automation is to minimize the error incorporated due
to conventional method which includes manual operations.
